  1. Keith Barrett played a blinder getting the return travel sorted. Cheers. Shola was almost unplayable that night. And, I'm sure it wasn't the beer that made it seem that way. We got to the ground the night before not realising it had been called off and the taxi driver didn't think it worth mentioning to us.
  2. Seems we all can agree that both our tempo and movement are a million miles from where they should be. The coaching staff can no doubt also see this. I'd love to know what's going on in training. We have a few players who aren't good enough and we have others who have stopped doing what they did best. Tiote should never have the ball at his feet for longer than 2 or 3 seconds, he's getting closed down very quickly now. Players need to make themselves available as soon as he gains possession. This immediately stops any speed in our play, the opposition get organised and we don't have the midfield to then create gaps or run in behind to disrupt the opposition shape (yes we have HBA - but we can't expect him to do it all) Jonas isn't contributing at all. We have others who simply aren't good enough and I'll not criticise them for that. I actually think if we got Tiote to do what he should be doing that it would solve a lot of the other issues.
  3. The final pass continues to be woeful. They look like complete strangers thrown together.
  4. Kluivert murdered us twice playing for Barca; he got a deserved ovation when he was subbed at SJP. I agree that he'd lost the passion when he signed for us and believe that the reaction he'd received from our crowd played a part in his signing. As a player he was fantastic when in the mood. Consistency wasn't his strong point.
  5. Couple more pics. Second one is from the top of Montmartre (we had a couple of hours to kill in Paris and went to Notre Dame, Montmartre and then found a bar. http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/nufcstu/CEBE53AC-CB5F-486C-9B0C-40B75591BEE2-281-0000001A5DE0B492.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/nufcstu/EA9BE060-16E0-4828-A1DA-11A0F9FA9C26-269-0000001A4BCC4893.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/nufcstu/A7B4365D-C443-4F0B-BA43-B98CC0FC9FB2-281-0000001C45526016.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/nufcstu/14D37592-A88E-45E7-8DE9-DC1D943B8B2C-1040-000000EB8AEA4C3A.jpg
  6. We were pretty shite - canny trip, not as good as Bruges. http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/nufcstu/DACA3CEE-4F09-4A76-B288-0791A988EC5A-1040-000000EB774B85A3.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/nufcstu/F4D72DE8-D0DE-4941-96B3-2936976D0223-1040-000000EB7EB31135.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/nufcstu/14D37592-A88E-45E7-8DE9-DC1D943B8B2C-1040-000000EB8AEA4C3A.jpg
  7. L'victoire by all accounts. Speaking to my mate at the weekend who used to live theree aswell, he reckons there is a cracking Irish boozer. There's a canny Irish pub called the Connemara and it's right by Gambetta otherwise there's a few canny bars around Place de la Victoire - Café de Sport being one of them. Cheers, our hotel is opposite the train station so that's a straight road up to the Square. Hotel Du Faisan? Aye, that's the one. We have an early train out and wanted to be as close as possible.

  9. Where are people drinking in Bordeaux? It's a big city and not that many of us. I don't get there until 3pm on Thursday - will be doing plenty drinking on the Eurostar and train to Bordeaux to compensate.
  10. That was a game where the first team to score would win (like our last 2 home games). We got it and managed to throw the game away against a Stoke side that hadn't really threatened. Carry on losing games like this and we will become bottom 3 very soon. You simply can't afford to keep losing this type if game. When you get your nose in front you must not lose.
  11. I'd fancy Hartlepool against us at the moment. We offered nowt there.

  13. Cue Mackems slagging off the attendance and to be fair I didn't go tonight after going to the first 2 home games.
