Today was a good result for us. Knocks Spurs confidence and we play at Chelsea the Wednesday before the cup final. If Spurs have more of a wobble and we keep our nerve we could well get something at Chelsea - we need to play that game as though we're at home and at high tempo - see if Chelsea are willing to put their necks on line with the Final 3 days away. Get into them.

just expanding on this point, What is the arrangements for tickets? Will we be looking at most points or something? been to europe twice and travelled independently for both, don't even know if there were official club trips. tickets were just liking normal away games. Don't go with the club, it's in and out and you see nowt but the match. Best to travel the morning of the match, stay overnight and travel back the next day. For the smaller grounds you'll need a decent amount of points. I ended up in the home end at Hereenveen and watched the AZ game in Alkmaar in my Nufc top in their equivalent of The Adelphi; we were advised to leave at HT and were happy to do so given the score. Sadly, not sure I'll be able to find the necessary to get away this time.

We must keep our shape and concentration - if we do we'll get another break on them if we don't they'll frustrate us into conceding and if we let in 1 we'll let in another. A real test of character this.

His touch with his right foot doesn't put the ball far enough in front of him and he can't get to it with his left. He therefore tries to get it again with his right but as he checks his running stride he doesn't move his left leg forward or down and he falls, which looks for all the world like a dive. I spent all day yday convinced it was a horrible dive; I'll accept now anyone who says it was simply poor ball control and an attempt to defy physics. Funny as fuck like.

Carroll doesn't come across as the type with a burning desire to play for the big clubs. He seemed happy enough doing his thing up here and being a tit around town.

We received 35M for a local lad who'd started to show signs of being a player.
