There is a real risk that 40 points will not be enough and I can't see us getting 40. Having witnessed West Brom 1st half against us I think Wigan will get at least a point and I think they'll beat Swansea. Villa will be safe by the last game and Wigan will beat them. We're huge value at 6/1 to go down. Lose at WH and Wigan win puts us nearer 2/1 or shorter.

Barca have been murdered here, Bayern's energy levels and movement has been far too good for them.

We have lost our way during matches so many times this season, in games where we were in control, where we were looking good. The excuses and platitudes have been exhausted now, the team should be able to look to the bench and the direction they need from the manager. This problem is exacerbated as there is no real leader on the pitch to focus the players when we are put under any type of pressure. It's almost chronic now, we all know what is coming and the pack of cards come tumbling down.

The way were playing we could easily only pick up a single point for the rest of the season and leave the Wigan - Villa game where a point each would see us down if we list to Arsenal on the last day. Unbelievable - not quite.

Rang the ticket office. Apparently the club are aware that some fans on the 10 year plan have been sent letters in error inviting them to join a 8 year deal. Club say ignore the letter and all is good.

I've just received my renewal invitation. My ticket has gone up around £100 with an invitation to secure this price for the next 8 years. There's no mention anywhere of rescinding the existing 10 year price freeze. I take it that everyone else on the initial 10 year deal has also now been invited to a 8 year deal at an increased price?

Has anything been reported about the Mackems fighting amongst themselves at the SOL watching on the big screen and chucking bottles? Thought I'd just mention it. Doesn't make the knuckle draggers of ours any better, not that ours had been at the match in the first place. Vermin, The Dog, Eclipse and Dog n Parrot were all closed, say loads of young vermin heading towards the Boulevard when we came down. None of them had been to the match. Should have let them through the police and see how had they were then.

We lost this tie in Lisbon. Can't blame Pardew's tactics; I actually think he got it kinda right. If we'd gone after them We'd have been picked off and we scored at a great time. We very nearly pulled it off. Can't blame Benfica for time wasting but it should have been more than 4 mins. Good Luck to Benfica. By far the better technical team but we really shouldn't have list 3-1 over there.
