Friday night I was there as well might have been more than 11000 we had all of the Anfield Rd end plus some of one of the main stand paddocks. I've disliked Lpool since then as there was hell on afterwards on the way to the buses. we were loud mind "we'll be back again next year

Watched the 0-0 play off semi final there, the place erupted when Kay missed the pen and then tried to put Budgie's head in the Fulwell End.

Edit, my comment above is the about motd etc. iPhone is no good for this

Wasnt that 3-2? The match was shown on MOTD which was very unusual for a Div 2 game but the most memorable thing about that game was that it absolutely pissed down and there was steam coming off the crowd by the end of the game. It was f***ing torrential. Btw my first game was in the early 70's against Stoke I think and we won 3-2 I think but I could be wrong on both counts. aye pretty sure it finnished 3-2, keegan playing for us- supermac was Fulhams manager- Was thinking about that game when we drew 4-4 with Arsenal. Rare event - we looked f*** all like equalising never mind winning. Never leave early! Think Trewick scored with 2-3 mins left and then Wharton improbably in injury time with a Leazes end scramble. I remember that more from the "going up" footage than actually being at the game

My ex's family used to live in a place called Jupiter; I was on hols there when Tino did Barca, anyway I was sulking and made my way to the house & stuck the tv on in the vain hope that the match was on. There I as I sat in almost disbelief was the unmistakeable sight of an aerial shot of SJP. Unfuckingbelievable. There was a bar in Boca which used to show the games. Happy Days.

The fact that there are stories out there tells you he is either unsettled or his agent is pushing for a move. Any kind of decent offer and he'll be gone.
-
Ffs Arsenal are celebrating a bit too much. I know who my money will be on. Arsenal will have to score over there.
-
Fuck me Barca players don't half put a shift in their closing down is simply amazing - there are times when they have 3 closing down and still don't appear to be leaving gaps anywhere.
-
Great result, nearly there now

We played well today though Blackburn were s****. We're a pair of quality strikers away of being top 10ish and equally if we lose a couple of key players in the summer we wil be fighting for our lives. Ashley has to come good with the money - oh s***
-
We are all over this lot, we need to score.

I've been reliably informed that Carroll didn't want to go but felt he had no option. His Agent may be the only person truly pleased with the transfer.

My mate travelled up from down south today with his 2 southern born sons and their Arsenal supporting mate. They all have Arsenal ST's but my mate used to travel up north every game and had a ST at SJP for more than 10 years before his missus got her way. He then got Arsenal ST's but also managed to keep his SJP ticket for a further 2 years. Anyway, the point is at HT he's apologising to his sons at HT for the shite we've served up and at FT his two sons have just realised why their dad is a Geordie and why they will always support the Toon. Want to know what Newcastle are; then that 90 minutes sums it all up. The crowd was immense today and that second half performance gave at least 2 southern born sons to a mad Geordie something to be proud of. Well done. As an aside I also a group of Norwegians and 2 Americans at HT wondering WTF they were doing coming to the game today......

Sign him up no brainer really.

All efforts need to be concentrated on getting 2 quality strikers and a back up for them. Every other position is secondary and secondary by a country mile. I'm still completely gob smacked that we failed to even get a loan deal for a striker or take a cheap gamble. Pardew should have pinned Ashley to the wall to get someone in once it was clear AC was on his way.
-
I can see Nolan playing as a lone striker somewhere soon away from home. Can't wait.........
-
We might just manage at home with the current striking options but away from home without anyone told hold the ball up we will be under constant pressure. Away games will be a real problem for us. A couple more injuries or suspensions and we are in deep shit.
-
It's not just the fact that our strikers don't look capable of scoring it is the fact that they bring nothing to the game. We are in trouble make no mistake about that.
-
May and safety look an awful long way away.
-
Neither Ranger or Best could hold up a helium balloon and away from home it is vital to do so. At least with Shola we had the option of a 4 5 1.
-
We have forward options that would struggle in D2. It really is quite frightening I simply can't see how we will ever get back into a game where we concede first.
-
Say that in a phone interview that Nolan was made up that AC was joining Lpool (his advice was go for it) but gutted for NUFC. Cant really see how Nolan could say anything else. RAWK seem to think they've signed a cross between Shearer, Avatar and Chuck Norris. He's got a job on his hands with some of the expectations.
-
They're just photographs but there's a point to what you're saying. I'm sure, in an ideal world for him, Carroll would still be at Newcastle with the £90k a week contract (or whatever) he's currently sat on at Liverpool. You mustn't have seen the video of him with King Kenny he couldn't raise a smile.
-
Carroll doesn't exactly look thrilled to be at Lpool.
-
I'd take Elmander but at nearly 8pm I'd take almost anybody......
