  1. Pros: It's a quid. Regular updates about what they're doing. Greg's on the board. Cons: It's led by the TrueFaith knackers that have self-promotion on their minds.
  2. Think he's just a contributor. The rest all sit on the board of NUST; they all want to be further involved with NUFC and get coin doing so. This was also my issue with the supporters trust being the same people as the fanzine. The fanzine slowly loses it's objectivity as they want to be involved with the club albeit I didn't think it would happen so soon. Same happened down the road when Roker Report became a club mouthpiece for the Don because he bought them a Maccy D's. The worst of it all is that the NUST survey was overwhelmingly in support of a boycott, yet several of them (including the Chair of the trust, no less) decided to publicly flaunt the fact that they were attending. Massively disappointing.
  3. I don’t believe you ? ...or should I say I don’t believe your mate. I mean I hope it was 42k but I just don’t believe it for a moment. Just look at the photos. There’s loads more as well if you just search Instagram and stuff. Eg... https://www.instagram.com/p/B1EpzBgA4wC/?igshid=bucfrx22xu5e https://www.instagram.com/p/B1EvL9ih_8Y/?igshid=1jqytt6gkbqlb https://www.instagram.com/p/B1EgCGPAL6R/?igshid=1tvlz2rbxoar3 https://www.instagram.com/p/B1CpLnOgMXC/?igshid=15wrmxymutnij But it’d be interesting to see if we could somehow get the correct figure from the police or something. Because of the nature of the boycott, you'd imagine this would be spread relatively equally around the entirety of the ground, with its effect more pronounced in the naturally less popular areas (ie. the very back of the Gallowgate and Level 7). So whilst I'm not saying that the 42,000 reports are necessarily accurate, I don't think you can simply discount them based on your selection of photos taken from afar. The empty seats in the Leazes are even hard to differentiate from those that are filled with just a casual glance, for example. Basically, like you say, if a FOI request or similar was successful in obtaining the actual figure that would be ideal.
  4. Really speaks well without coming across as one of the normal idiots we seem to get to represent us in interviews. Fair play. Your opinion of him would be different if you had to wait for him to never show on the morning of the Reds vs Blues/Lockwood Cup. #NeverForget
  5. So let's all do nowt and carry on funding it!
  6. Yeah but it was the boycotters who caused the shitty atmosphere, remember that.
  7. All the old school saw through Ashley and stopped going. Those were the lads and lasses who would shout, scream, sing and just generally go barmy getting the atmosphere going. The people who cared the most, who really supported the club fucked off and we're left with the 'day out away from the missus' crowd. Spot on, every word of that is true. I went along to support the small group outside the ground today and it was humiliating by the end of it to be honest- depressing, in fact. We got more applause and kudos from the Arsenal fans than our own; that just says it all. Had fans giving the 'wanker' sign, calling people 'cunts' (from fully grown men wearing the new away shirt- staggering). I simply couldn't believe how many people were going into SJP, it's incredible how easy it is for them. But sadly today was merely a reflection of modern society. Most people walked past not caring, many others stood there and filmed on their phones. Then you have a stadium sat in silence for 90 minutes. People just want an easy life these days. Any feeling of guardianship or protection over NUFC from the fans is dead. People want to be able to have a pint, go to the match, leave early and get home before it's a late one. It feels like the Newcastle United I grew up loving, and the support I grew up so proud of, is now completely unrecognisable. I will be sick if we are not relegated- that will be justice for all still involved. So grim, man. The irony is the aggression always seems to come from those who "won't be told what to do" by the protesters. It was the same during the 'show Ashley the red card' protest a few years ago. People getting genuinely angry and actually defending the fucker. It's so, so disheartening. Unfortunately, like others have said, I think those who have already boycotted are probably as good as it gets protest-wise, at least until results completely bottom out.
  8. Hope's doing a cracking hatchet job on Brewcie today, like.
  9. Looks like he's had his hair braided down the beach on holiday.
  10. Any patches of empty seats? From the camara showing the line up one was shown now it looks about 51k mugs are here Nowhere near. There are visible gaps in the east stand so I reckon the true figure will be mid 40s.
  11. You would think that, though. See how easy this is?
  12. Nah, it'll never get that bad imo. IIRC you’re not from up here but my reasons are entirely based him on being a local bloke just like he appropriates himself being my equivalent. I hated Pardew, as much as anyone, absolutely fucking despised him but he had no investment in the club or city, he was getting paid to do a job way above his station and was forever grateful. There was no alleged emotional attachment. That makes it way easier for what he did and whilst I don’t agree with anything he did it’s somewhat understandable he was happy to go along with it, particularly given his narcissism. Bruce is doing the same role but he proclaims to be a fan, a man of the city, a man of the region. He’s working for a bloke and praising him for running all three into the ground, it’s absolutely shameless. He knows this and he knows what he’s doing, we’ve seen all his quotes about this kind of thing before. He has as much respect for himself as I have for him. He is a patsy hungry for money and adoration. An embarrassment. But more importantly an embarrassment to my club, my city, my region that’s he claims to be part of. That hurts more than someone outside for me. (And yes I know he’s a symptom not the main problem) God, I hate what a shit show this club has become and what it stands for (yes, there are sparks of good occasionally). It kills me. It’s tiresome. It’s not what being a supporter is about. I want to be proud of my club, my city. One affects the other and one has little to be proud of at the moment. Tremendous, this.
  13. Delicious news, this. Hopefully his career is finished.

    Lee Charnley

Would love to see this little cunt take a good hiding, like. (Charnley, not Nees).
  15. Minimal effort. Pretty much any big city in Europe there'll be an Irish bar with Sky/other sports channels. Hey presto, literally a 10-second Google search - https://www.delaneys.be/ Watched the West Ham match in there earlier this year. Grim viewing but the bat's actually canny for football.
  16. Why the fuck would you wait until this season to take the plunge and commit to buying your first ST? The mind boggles. Rectangle.
  17. Because when you want someone to mentor a young, foreign player who doesn't speak the language and has no support base, Andy Carroll is obviously the best man for the job. Not as a mentor, but as a fill in for Joelinton should he struggle for form at any point. Which would be understandable if we weren't relying on a bloke who's very rarely there to fill in as he's so often crocked.
  18. Don't take this badly Kaka, but if you think that's the reason Carroll was brought back, I have some Florida swampland available you might want to take a look at.
