Will change though, no doubt. If he's actually called Gregor Macgregor that's hilarious.

    Chancel Mbemba

Apparently he failed to learn English since he's been here. Can't really expect Rafa to coach a player he can't communicate his specific tactical instructions to - if it's true. I'd heard that too, communication was the issue and it makes a lot of sense why he was never trusted with a regular starting berth.
  3. Every tweet of theirs I’ve seen in the last couple of days has that hashtag in the replies. Gloriously petty of them if they’re blocking people for it.
  4. Care to share? https://twitter.com/kriswoods84/status/1021410736571125760 Hate 'statements' that are screenshotted from phones, like.
  5. Good luck with that. You're right though. All the visible spots from the main camera need to be targeted.
  6. Agree with most of this apart from the rafa bit. You're dead wrong there. See, Ashley has done a grand job of dumbing down expectations, stamping out hope and ambition and ensuring the fan base "knows our place" (ie a bottom half/yoyo club.) Eleven years of this shite has ground people down- the younguns know nothing different. You are probably right that it's all in vein and rafa will likely leave in high dudgeon at some point in the next 12 months. But over the last three years he's given some self respect back to the club, he's reminded us we don't have to - and shouldn't- accept mediocrity and hopefully he's stirred something in the younger generation of fans as to the potential of this football club Say rafa had gone in the summer of 2016 and the usual yes man appointed none of that would have happened. We might have come back up we might not, but we would have continued to operate the same (club and fanbase) regardless. If nothing else Rafa having been here the last three years should make life a lot more uncomfortable for ashley when he leaves than if he hadn't been here. I hope the above makes sense and I don't come across as too much of a bellend.

In Ashleys world...in reality it was WELL under 100 million. The 112.2m figure included promotion bonuses and "onerous contract provisions" payment to players not in the first team but still employed by the club. So wages are probably around 70-80m total as a base before any bonuses etc. There absolutely should be money available if this was a sane world. Well I don't believe that for a second. For one the 'onerous contract provisions' takes into account future years I believe. Also, theres no way our base wage bill is anywhere near 80m. This link suggests less then £50 million for the season after in the Prem: https://talksport.com/football/308730/every-premier-league-club-ranked-their-total-wage-bill-2016-17-171109261432/ Why would anyone give Ashley any benefit of doubt though really? https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/accounts-year-ending-30-june-2017 I mean it was in their actual accounts filed so whether or not there was some funky accounting is irrelevant, it's the number out there. But if it accounted for future years then there should be even more left for this year etc. That's all. Anyone quoting over 100m is clearly taking a look at that figure and not realizing the caveats. Writing off the wages is purely an accounting action, we still have to pay the money whilst they are under contract so you really can take this into consideration for the actual wage bill. Having said that we will still have a disproportionately low wage bill for a premier league club simply as the players we buy at the fees we pay won't be on 150k a week and weve not made enough free transfers to suggest that the transfer kitty is being spent on higher wages rather than transfer fres So how do you enter their wages in the next years accounts? When you write them off you create a provision on your balance sheet and a loss in the p&l, when you pay cash you reduce the provision by the amount of cash paid Trying to understand this hungover like
  8. Ashley has his mitts in JD Sports as well mind, albeit to a lesser extent. Start Fitness is the one in Newcastle you're thinking of.

    Sean Longstaff

I dont got posts like this. He's young. just scored a goal and made a man of the match performance in his first professional game for us, yet gets written off. Bang on. Unless Sewelly’s been to plenty reserve matches/Blackpool games where Longstaff played it’s a bit of a sad comment.
  10. Finally things are looking up.
  11. I saw another tool say something like 'If Rafa goes, he goes. He can't be expecting £80m'. Are people like this just being contrary because they get a kick out of it or are they actual rectangles? I can never tell.
  12. Should’ve sacked him last season when we were 100% going down, for me.
  13. People really need to get over the Liverpool thing. He was just a naive guy from across the pond.
  14. That's the one. Tremendous. It might be a defender but it's in our defensive third.
  15. That little jink looked tremendous at the time. Does anyone know which time point on the stream it occurred?
  16. How is that even allowed to happen? Seems like a massive conflict of interests.
  17. Sovereign bloody states.
  18. In the middle of advanced talks, Shirley?
