  1. Wait are people actually saying that?! Poch did. AVB.
  2. How come? The other day he basically implied that those who used to play football like Southgate, knew better than fans. Painted fans as thick and had secondary opinions to ex pros. Which is one of mine main gripes of modern football. Fans IMO are the lifeblood of the game and are often much more in tune with reality. He was also once putting down parents who watch their kids and want their kids to succeed in the game (whether likely or not), which annoyed me. Most great footballers probably had a parent pushing them to get better and better. It doesnt mean they dont love their kids FFS. Just gripes of mine with him. None of the above is fact by the way, it was just the way he was coming off. Which disappointed me. I might be mistaken, but whenever he's spoken out against parents at football it's towards those that are total arseholes on the sidelines, no?
  3. Yeah, that's class. I think for us lot who have only ever known football from the mid-90s onwards, it's really difficult to imagine how terrible the pitches were (I know SJP saw some shockers); I doubt the footage does it justice. Then when you see the nature of the challenges (or assaults ) that were thrown his way time and time again it makes you appreciate his achievements even more.
  4. Unfortunately I'm too young to have seen him play but my god, the archive footage. Thoroughly recommend the documentary as others have mentioned. Maradona in Mexico on Netflix is also class, just pure entertainment. Outrageous:
  5. That's a terrible team. The luckiest 1-0 win you've ever witnessed incoming.
  6. It's a bit late, like. Scud one of the featured fans.
  7. That's ludicrous. He's pretty much flip-flapped the defender on the edge of the box then rifled it into the bottom corner. What a bloke.
  8. Very sad. He seemed to be a likeable bloke as well as one of the all time great English keepers.
  9. "I don't claim to speak for the supporters of NUFC.... so I'm doing this exposé on NUFC twitter trolls on behalf of the supporters of NUFC!"
  10. Hendrick is hopeless, like. A nothing player if ever there was one.
  11. Defending the Premier League and knocking the fans group for being unreasonable. Incredible. Or looking at things objectively.
  12. Their logo is absolutely lifting. Cheap as they come.
  13. So many of his goals during that first season were outrageous. His first vs Villa, the Swansea dink, both goals against Chelsea, and another one he prodded home from a cross against someone at SJP. They all looked so easy. https://www.premierleague.com/video/single/636291
  14. I thought we looked like a competent, functional team for most of the second half. If that was Brucieball I could just about tolerate it. That said, the subs were way too conservative (or pointless in the case of AC).

    General press coverage

Not quite. Says Rafa was like a dad to him, and goes in to plenty of depth about the problems his partner and child faced a few years back. He's complementary about Bruce (and, to a lesser extent, Ashley) but not over the top. Very honest stuff and just what you'd expect from Hayden, really.
  16. Murphy's done really well there but that's another clanger.
  17. If you sit off and let teams take pot shots at your keeper, eventually one will find its mark/he'll drop a clanger. We're so toothless and passive, man.
  18. Darlow absolutely has to save that, like.
  19. It'd be pretty amusing to see a few of these entitled arseholes locked into a league as whipping boys for 20 years, to be fair.
  20. How long does he want like? We evidently didn't deserve anything from the game.
  21. He's terrible, man. If we were a proper football club he'd have been peddled years ago.
