Physically, he looks a lot better, and he's certainly looking more up for it, but the execution was really lacking last night for a couple of relatively simple passes.

Bournemouth always press us very well, from memory. Really hoping BNE can provide a very different outlet for us. -

I think we might go 343/352 for this. -
Was he out for the lap of honour? I couldn't see him.

Immense! -
de Jong was very impressive. It was like time was stood still when he was on the ball. Pedri also excellent as well.
-
Touch like velvet. He's going to be so good for us.
-
If only we'd play him with a striker.
-
Thought he was absolutely class the first 40 mins and then faded a bit which led to sloppiness. Still played some excellent passes. I can imagine their midfield ball retention is fucking awful to play against, tbf.
-
Good effort, missing the final ball or touch on just a few too many occasions. I thought we could've managed things a little better as well, but we were certainly competitive!
-
I think he'll rue not starting Woltemade as we missed that presence, and then the game was largely gone for most of his time on it. We do need to be sensible with rotating but there are multiple ways to manage it.
-
It was also noticeable how his presence also just opened up space for others, even playing against a defensive back 3.
-
Excellent debut. Did the basics well, showed flashes of flair, intelligent movement, and made it count when it mattered. He looks a really fun footballer.
-
He just gets better and better. Fabulous, fabulous player.
-
Hopefully, this is like when all the sauces said Gordon had done his ACL but he was back for the next game.
-
Excited to see him, man.
-
I don't think this is a bad game for Woltemade to start in terms of adapting to the league's pace. Wolves are likely going to sit deeper and we'll have a good chunk of possession, he won't be required to do as much intense work off the ball. They do play a back 3 though so it might be a tricky one when it comes to finding space against physical CBs. Maybe his preference to drop into pockets could work in our favour here though.
-
Prefer he fly under the radar a bit but he's going to need to be chucked in due to the volume of games over the next few weeks. I expect he'll start more CL while Wissa more PL. Over time, it'll become more tactical.
-
Gordon just loves being the centre of attention. Needs to focus on consistently performing to a decent standard, first & foremost.

I think Sven might want to reconsider the definition of friendship Your pal actively doing things to fuck you over hardly screams great mate.
