Well, he 'beats' his man, on average, 2.2 times a game. I've not found how many attempts he makes, yet. What does this rubbish even mean? Next you'll be telling me Sol Campbell's the quickest player in our squad . It means he successfully dribbles past his man, on average, 2.2 times a game.
-
How many times does Cabella get on the ball compared to those players? Not as much, I'd imagine, but those players have the benefit of not attacking in 2s or 3s and actually have players that move and support one another. He's also clearly a player that prefers to pass and move, IMO, so I don't think his numbers would really change all that much.

Also, he could play wide in a proper system, like Mata does at Man U. Although, that'd require us getting more bodies forward and much better movement.

Over the season, Cabella's been dispossessed 1.7 times a game on average (I'd be very interested to see what it's been like post-Xmas). Hardly much of a problem, is it? To put that into context against players of a similar ilk: David Silva: 2.4 per game Juan Mata: 1.2 per game Eden Hazard: 2.9 per game

Not a whiff of hyperbole there, like.

He didn't cost £13m either.
-
Only Colback, Tiote, Janmaat and Guiterrez have made more successful tackles per game than Cabella this season, and only Sissoko has averaged more successful dribbles per game. Saying his physicality isn't up to it is a bit of a lazy criticism, IMO. I think he's certainly unsuited to a wide position with the team in its current format/under the current management, mind.

Eurgh. They may well not give a shit, but why should they, when they play for a club as unambitious as we are? It's not like they have a sentimental link to us, and the overriding message from the hierarchy is that fans mean very little. You can see how lost some of them are. They've no belief in the management, the club's ethos and it's not like there's much leadership on the pitch to compensate either. It's fucking desperate. Carr's role at the club is pointless too as there's not a suitable manager for the players he recommends.

I know a lad further down the leagues who played with him at youth level. He said he was an absolute nutter at 18.

I was disheartened at the beginning of the match, but it seems as if it was a great success. A good chunk of people already jacking it in and the aim has got to be for that to grow. The national press attention will only strengthen the cause. Fantastic work.

You're getting relegated now, you dafty.

You got a link? http://www.toontastic.net/board/topic/35534-ashleyoutcom/page-8?

The Bishop has obviously told him to try a different forum. Someone responded to him with this gem. 'Listen, son. You're a cunt. A grade A cunt. Ashleyout.com was launched less than two weeks ago and in that time has helped organise a boycott of approximately 10,000 fans. When was the last time that happened? But that isn't what makes you a cunt. No. You're a cunt because you wanted it to fail. You'd rather be proven right to a bunch of strangers on the Internet than see the campaign achieve any success. You rushed on here so quickly to claim victory that you didn't even know what the score was. The fellas over on NO had the right idea. And that is what makes you a cunt. Or a mackem. Same difference.'

The real 'touchy hutchy'.

I see Mako has made his way over to Toontastic. Still spouting utter shite.
-
The bloke's proven himself to be an utter disgrace, like. Fair enough at wanting to have a crack it first time, I can sort of get that from a fan's perspective, but performing as he has and still thinking he can manage this club. Fuck off.
-
Frankly, that's the most insane thing I've ever read.
-
Soopafans are the worst. Far more interested in preserving their image and ego than the actual welfare of the club. I'd be interested to know what it was like before Sky Sports started making us out to be something we're not - Geordie Nation and all that bollocks.

He probably comes from the old-school of thought of 'let the lads work it out for themselves'. I'm always amazed when managers just stick on a load of strikers when their team is behind too. Defenders prefer getting tight and compact, in this country at least, the more you narrow your style of play the better it is for them. Especially when you've got a forward line of midgets and lads who can't head a ball. It's crazy, the right sub was to get abeid on got jonas or Gouff and get a f***ing grip of the midfield, get Abeid to sit and let moussa push on. Perez was totally isolated. Maybe even bring Cabella in behind him as a 10. He has no idea The midfield choices were a joke, like. We had no protection in front of the defence for long balls because, shock, we didn't have a single central midfielder in there. It was a problem trying to build attacks too, never a central presence for anyone to work off. A complete shambles.
