Played some lovely, almost playmaker-style passes in the final third yesterday. Didn't know he had that in his locker.

One of the most emotional parts of the celebration footage is his reaction to the FT whistle, for me. He's such a cool customer who knows he's good enough to reach the very top, but he goes mental like a fan at that whistle.

Barring any freak injuries next season, he'll be seeing plenty of gametime and will be an extremely useful asset for us. Good player, just been awkward timing with him so far. I thought he was excellent on Sunday. Very brave & made good team decisions consistently. Flash might have to wait to get his place back.

Going back to normal life after the whole weekend has been weird for me. The whole experience was just so engulfing. I can't explain it other than I just feel different. I'm just meant to go back to work now rather than endlessly daydream & rewatch stuff?

I was top tier both times and we were actually allowed to stand all game this time. It was fucking class. Voice is absolutely shredded.

Absolutely mental sleep, I was having fever-style dreams. Getting on the train home soon. Yesterday felt like a week packed into 24 hours. It was absolutely surreal.

I think the coaching job Howe & team did in 22/23 is severely underrated. Obviously, we'd spent a bit of money, but looking at the team itself that played the majority of the season (remember, Isak missed about 4 months etc.), there's no way you're thinking that's a top 4 team that would end the season with the joint best defensive record & a goal difference of +35. For us nerds, loads of the underlying data was seriously, seriously impressive as well.

Ah man, absolutely fantastic. I absolutely adore him as a representative of our club. He's an incredible character.

While axis of Joe is my preference for the final, I'd start Barnes ahead of Tino tonight just to see how it works + get more sharpness into Barnes who could be a vital role player on the weekend.

If we have a fit & firing Isak then we'll always have a chance. We've got to believe!

Devastated for the lad himself as he's had such a good season overall & is maturing into such an impressive footballer. I'm quite relaxed about this for the final in that I think we'll put Tino on Salah and I think, 1v1, that's just about our best bet there if everyone is available. Obviously, that assumes we suffer no further injuries The impact on the season outside of the final is more worrying though. Hall's talent on the ball is so critical for us.

While Gordon has usually given TAA a torrid time, I'd genuinely fancy Joelinton LW to do the same thing while probably being more effective at helping to lock down the supply line to Salah on that side.

My main concern for Howe is that I think expectations will be high as we WILL have a busy summer, but my feeling is that we'll be bringing more development talent in rather than ready-made players to immediately kick us on. We've got some big gaps to fill with a still-limited budget.
