  1. Based on? Body language? His words So what did he say? Confirmed some attempts at negotiating between his representative and the club, said we're his first choice and finished it off with the old 'we'll see'. His wife was more open about it and said she was sure he'd end up here.
  2. Sister was at his wedding, yesterday, seems to be very likely that he's joining.
  3. Getting rid of MYM would be so unbelievably daft. Colo's still OK but not really worthy of starting, based on his performances from this season. I couldn't think of a better replacement than MYM who, arguably, has the potential to be even better than Colo was in his prime. Only player in the squad that's actually led his team to some silverware too, IIRC.
  4. Pardew will be absolutely distraught.
  5. I'm sure there was an article recently about how the club had learnt from past experiences with foreign players and we now do quite a lot to help them integrate. It does have to work both ways, though, which Luque seems to have not realised. Cabaye went down to Newcastle University with his wife, IIRC, to try and get integrated and learn the language.
  6. Kroos is class but I think he could do with imposing himself a bit more on games. Some times he seems happy to go through the motions instead of inserting himself when needed to. Not sure if that's because he already plays with some players with top class mentalities in the midfield but he might come into his own at Man Utd if the focus is on him. Man U need someone dominant like, he'll be no use if he likes to Kroos through games.

  8. Toure is such a dickhead Acted like a complete knob the last time they won the league, IIRC.
  9. Isn't this the lad that's meant to be quite a player? Good goalscorer but also technically good footballer that operates more as a second striker?
  10. Isn't he supposed to be quite a high energy player? In the sense that he's good at pressing space and harrying defenders etc. Sounds like he'd be Pards' wet dream with the deadly magic & work ethic combo.
  11. Pretty sure Wenger's fitness methods were cited as a reason for the injuries, he's apparently not changed his philosophy on it, since he arrived.
  12. Think he will, this time. The Ozil signing sent showed the calibre of player they're now after/can compete for and I fancy them to get another 1 or 2 of that level, over the summer. If they get a better starting striker in and someone who can take a grip of the midfield more in the bigger games then I fancy them to do really push for the league next year.
  13. Chuffed to bits for him, he needs to capitalise on the momentum of this.
  14. Eurgh, this is exactly what you get when you have know-nowt businessmen running football clubs. Minging.
  15. His knees have given out. Was told by a doctor that he'd have three years to play at most during his last year at Man United. Ah, well that makes more sense.
  16. Squawka Football @Squawka · 13h Mathieu Debuchy won more tackles (19) inside his own box than any player across Europe's top 5 leagues this season.
  17. Surprised he's retiring as he's seemingly got incredible fitness levels and isn't even that old.
  18. Love Sissoko. Such a positive player with more qualities than many give him credit for. His technique can swing between the sublime and thoroughly average but he offers loads of other stuff.
  19. Wilshere's a pretty progressive player, like, he's happy to take the game to the opposition. Also has the added bonus of experience in top level games.
  20. Wilshere can be quite a handy box-to-box player and is one of the more intelligent players we've got when it comes to knowing when to slow the game down and when to speed up. I really don't think Barkley is quite ready for the step up in one of the most important parts of the pitch, he should be eased in to the competition.
  21. I think the squad's relatively exciting, myself. Intrigued to see how some of our young attacking talent performs on the big stage. I'm certainly more interested than I have been for a long, long time. Fancy Sterling to really make a big name for himself too.
  22. Hate Dowd, like, he's such a prick. Oh well, better for us if we get humped.
  23. Fuck off and good riddance. Mercenary posing as someone who cares about the club.
