  1. Boumsong maybe ? As a french international, I think we were entitled to expect better than what we got. Probably the worst centre half I have seen in a B&W shirt.
  2. The man himself agrees with you (Leicester better than vs us), but I don't personally. He feels the one v Argentina is the best of his career, and I have to agree with him there.. Yeah if we are going to include International goals ( I had assumed that we were thinking of domestic ), the goal v Argentina may go down as his best. Had me jumping out of the chair.
  3. Bergkamp scored a goal at Leciester that same season which I felt was better still. It was similar to the one he got for Holland against Argentina in a World Cup QF. Ball dropped over his shoulder, controlled it perfectly first time, flicked it back over and first time hit. Phenomenal technique.
  4. Sounds like a twat. Hmmmm. That was my fear. Horrible attitude.
  5. The only thing I have seen of Beckford is when he elbowed that Goalkeeper in the throat. Thought he was a right C*** for that.
  6. Isnt Boyd the wanker who thinks that HE can decide whether he plays for the national squad or not. The one that gave the "v" signs to the camera ?
  7. Doesn't matter who we get. NUFC manages to break every player that comes here so previous form bares no relevance really.
  8. Yup. Actions speak louder than words.
  9. Bizarre from a bunch who loved Fat Sam so much
  10. Sounds like the pressure on Gary Megson is building.

    Alan Shearer

Depressing reading indeed. How far are we from seeing another Shearer/Ferdinand - Shearer/Bellamy strikeforce Brilliant days watching both of those combinations. Very difficult to choose between them.

    Peter Beardsley

    That goal at Hillsborough
  13. Maybe some of it is born out of frustration at the others around him

    PROMOTIONOMETER

Speaking as someone who hasnt, for one reason or another, had chance to watch us this season, I just cant get my head around whats happening. We are clear leaders in the league, yet every week, I hear the majority of opinion on here say that we are poor - average at best, that no player is standing out, the style of play is horrible (long ball) and that the managers decisions and team selections, on the whole, are questionable. How can this be the story of a successful team ? Whenever the next fixture comes around, all I find myself thinking about is how devastatingly demoralising next season could be if we get promoted. Its very confusing to know what I want each game.... the natural emotion first and foremost, is always to win. However, I find myself wondering if its better that we draw or lose to avoid horrible humiliation next season (and at the hands of Sunderland, which is my greatest fear).
  15. I am in total agreement with you. Very little excuse - especially when you look at the 2 teams' relative positions. Oh to be a fly on the wall on that Cardiff dressing room. Lord knows what Jack Charlton was like in ours.
