  1. Or he chose his principles over the club... simple as that. And you support that. So you support Keegan over the club. Who is "the club" ?
  2. What is this thing that we have with expecting that Keegan always has to sacrifice his happiness in place of us fans. Yes he might love the club but why should we expect him to be unhappy just for our benefit.
  3. Is it me or is the reality that most of the fans didnt actually want him out, they just wanted a change to the structure and an improvement in the communication between club and fans.
  4. Its not just about 3 days though is it. This has obviously been building for some time. i had forgotten up until recently about the meeting in London that Keegan was called to after the Chelsea outburst. Something has been building for a while - before any signings even appeared on the scene
  5. You must be out of your mind !!!!!! Wise should not be anyway near the team. Hughton is not the solution either so we are well and truly f**ked. Wise had a hand in bringing some of the players in apparantly. Making him interim manager until we get a new owner would be a good move for the club imo. He's a better manager than Hughton. No doubt the fans will go apeshit like the fucking mongs they are, but if we want to progress while Ashley is still owner I think that would be a damage limitation move ie avoiding relegation. Wise can deal with the hostility. concurred. As much I am not a fan of wise, i also agreed that he is probably best placed to take over the team
  6. change keegan for ashley and then surely this post should be in the numerous threads about ashley? No because Ashley is here and has the chance to put things right.. oh hang on... he wants to fuck off as well because a bunch of fans, made up mainly of school kids, chanted his name.
  7. No. Ashley is a coward for walking away from the club when it needed him the most.
  8. This thread is the reason that we are now destined to go down. There are too many people still whinging on about Keegan instead of buckling down and getting on with the season. Get over it man.
  9. So whats the chances of hearing anything from the club this weekend to give us an update on how the selection process for the new manager is going ?

  11. You know I think we could actually discuss the various theories on this forum until the end of days.
  12. Because then the club could have easily contradicted him by saying "but we were going to give Kevin all the funds he needed". Once the window closed, surely that was the point when he realised that he could do no more.
  13. Good line. Could it be possble that Kevin sacrificed his job, the job he loved, so that the fans can see for real, who is in charge of our club ? It might be a bit fancyful but for me I choose to believe he did it for a reason such as this rather just thrown a hissy fit because he couldnt get his own way.
  14. Am starting to give up a bit. Cancelling Skysports was the start for me. Only briefly felt disappointed I couldnt watch Liverpool / Man U last week.
  15. 'specially a club with their owners. Aye. Straight out of the Mike Ashley book of 'how to be rich but run your club like you're not rich'. Well Dowie doesn't buy the players so they're getting there.
  16. Well my personal opinion is that he had already decided to fuck off before last weeks demonstrations but thats old news that aint worth going over again. I just think the future looks very bleak and people are going to continue to complain at anything and everything until something else happens. I don't think Ashley was planning to fuck off at all in a hurry. I still don't as it happens, probably why he's set the price so high. Running a football club as a viable, self-sustaining business with a long term view doesn't really tie in with that either. I'm sure he'd love to turn the clock back on a few things but that's not how it works. If he intends on staying, nothing would make me happier. I would just rather he just told us and got on with the job of finding us a new manager and give us our hope back.

  18. Maybe it would have been as easy to get Ellis out had you actually tried to remove him, just a thought there. As for the last line, why should people be happy that he's proven them right when they say he doesn't give a shit about the club? Are you trying to say people should say "See I told you he didn't care.. good on him!!", yeah does not compute alright. You really think the Villa fans didn't try and get rid of Ellis? Whilst the complaining would have continued, I think Newcastle fans would have preferred if Ashley had at least tried to dig his heels in like Ellis did.
  19. If it was a case that he said he was selling the club but the Manager and team could just carry on detached from that side of things then that would be fine. But we have lost our manager and are now for up for sale, all within 2 weeks. I agree with what you say but if your saying we should be happy then I am afraid nothing could be further from the truth.
  20. The one thing that nags at me is: would he give a fuck if the whole thing went down the pan and he didnt get a penny back and put the whole thing down as a huge loss ? Praying that breaking even is the worst that he will accept because if he is prepared to lose the whole lot we are well and truly fucked. Of course he would man, howay. He's got a quarter of his entire personal wealth in the club or something daft. I know its a ludicrous theory and I honestly dont believe it. I just cannot work out what the hell he is trying to do cos its for certain that he isnt increasing the clubs value
