Was in the Griffin on Friday night. Watch Blue star occasionally and got a bit of an away day curse. Usually it's the weather getting the game off after I've booked trains. This time they were scheduled to play Carlisle City. The weather's fine I thought, then the floodlights were knackered . Anyway I'd roped the wife into staying overnight and digs were paid for so we just went over for a night out. Quite enjoy that strip of bars on Botchergate, round the corner from the station. Two "Spoons" within about 50 yards of each other.

Aye, mine went there too, unusually. Been said before but worth checking junk mail/spam.

Weekend of 1st March

Ooh aye. I can remember the near riot after ref Trelford Mills disallowed what looked like 2 good goals in the 80s.

I find it nigh on impossible to get an away ticket of my own accord even with a ST nowadays. Like yourself I jacked my ticket under Ashley and most importantly when he pissed Rafa off. Got back in in the nick of time because it felt like not enough had stayed away but lost 182 pts as a result. So the club would say they're rewarding "loyalty" but they've scratched regular long term fans from their records.

Why the wait for the KO time? The 2 teams have been sorted since last Thursday.

I was under the impression that transfering a ticket or two would count against you too. I also missed Chelsea.

I've just booked the half 9 Megabus back from London so who knows how I'll feel on that journey. (£28 including booking fee and chosen seat). Win and I'll be very happy and content to say the least. Wont be able to have a celebratory drink but ive got the rest of my life to celebrate. Lose and hopefully I'll sleep after a long day. 2023 final was a heavy day on the drink but this time I'm happy just to be at the game in case we finally win something. IF I get a ticket in the 1st place.

The one thing about Arsenals win today is it will remind our lot that they must be at their best. I'd like to think that if we score we win and we score in most games. One things for certain is that it will be either one of the best or worst football occasions of my life. The possible outcomes and emotions are just so far apart.

Ah man. This weekend just gets worse. Happy memories of Alan. Penalty king. Good little striker who helped win that fantastic derby game on NYD 1980. Can still hear the crowd singing "We all agree...Alan Shoulder is magic". Seen him in a talk in a few years back and was very entertaining then too.

Jason Donavon was on Look North talking about his "love" of NUFC which is mainly influenced by his wife who he says is a massive fan. Didn't quite catch whether it's only her who has a ST or both of them. Too many broken hearts watching them over the years, that's for sure.

Missed that one, which isn't a bad thing by all accounts. I remember it being talked about a lot at the time. I'm the same regarding Leicester fans. One minute I think of them as a benign set of fans but then I think back to that final day at Filbert Street in 1992 and think I hate them.

Hopefully one positive to take from yesterday is that it was a lesson against complacency. We can't think we've just got to turn up against certain teams.

Seems to be a major overreaction to any mistakes these days which doesn't help the player. I know it can be frustrating but wish people would stay calm.

It was a half 12 KO. Not like you need to catch the last bus or have work early in the morning. Just stay and watch your team. We mock the mackems but some of our fans are no better. At least we turn up In the 1st place I suppose.

Definite off day for Lewis today. Probably the worst I've seen/ can remember since he joined.

Seem to be in the minority but I thought the atmosphere was good last night. I'm Leazes/Milburn corner. Bromley game was embarrassingly flat though. It's like we were playing lower league opposition so turn up and wait for the win without being bothered to encourage the team whatsoever.

Ah no, certainly not you. I meant the mackem that that brought up our unusual and rare poor attendance from years ago with Exiled Geordie. Mackems in general TBH. They'll all be giving it "Sunland til I die" if it comes to claiming Wembo tickets for a play off final.
