I personally think he is nowhere near good enough for the first team but would gladly take him back as cover as long as he is willing to knucke down and not moan about it.

From http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3369219,00.html David Rozehnal is set to return to Newcastle this summer after his loan spell at Lazio has failed to prove as beneficial as the Czech Republic international had hoped. The 27-year-old versatile defender agreed to join the Serie A side in an emergency loan move in January with the aim of getting regular first team football. However, Rozehnal has failed to cement a regular place in the Lazio back-line, and after being repeatedly overlooked the player's agent Viktor Kolar believes any potential move will depend on a pending statement from the Italian club. Permanant option "So far Lazio have not told us there plans," said Kolar. "The Italians have a clause which says that they can use the option of a permanent move until May. "Then we will know the whole situation at Lazio and we can make further steps regarding David's future. "We have been in contact with Newcastle, namely their sports director Dennis Wise, but everything will depend on Lazio's statement."

Dont know if this has been posted already but it seems some scouse bast*rd predicted the champions league draw 2 hours before it went out live on tv (odds of doing that near 200/1) and all the bookies stopped taking bets 1 hour before hand, possibly earlier if what the people on their board are saying is true. It stinks of conspiracy and the press have got the story running now. Would be crazy if UEFA the lead governing body was bent! Check the post out on the liverpool echo board: http://forums.liverpoolecho.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=33755&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Posted: Fri Mar 14, 2008 10:28 am Post subject: Possible leak of draw -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rumour going around draw has been leaked..... this is no doubt rubbish but if Rumour is true it's LFC - arsenal and Chelsea - fenerbache and manure v roma No bookies will take bets on the draw either....... Let the draw commence. Comeeee on! and some other scouse monkey who reported it a day beforehand: http://answers.yahoo.com/quest.....656AAigxRG And the stories in the press: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/2008/03/14/mystery-as-champions-league-draw-appears-on-internet-two-hours-early-89520-20351088/

hey be fair to the lad. hes a well decent bloke. obviously is trying 100% for the side, plays the right kind ov football for the team, gets a hell of alot of bad press( mainly thanks to his england resignation, which was well noble considering what others have done [mclaren]to ruin the side) and never ever gives up or lacks his optimism, i would rather have anyone out there at the moment to manage newcastle, and in the end we arnt going to go down, hel rebuild in the summer and if the fans stay behind him hopefully we will perform next season. Get behind the lads!!!

i its fukin hilarious? what u on about mate, it will be a good thing if their not after him. hel stay this summer then settle down next season. nd he is a good player. definitaly worth hanging onto. They're not after him because he's not good enough. Yeah, that's a great thing for us. If we sign loads of s**** players, at least nobody will try to buy them. yep u got me there mate cs nzog is really shit. infact he's awful i have no idea why people would think hes a young talent

KEVIN KEEGAN has been snubbed AGAIN as his Newcastle revolution threatens to implode after just two games. Jonathan Woodgate has turned down a move back to St James' Park to sign for Spurs in a £7million deal. And some players were dismayed at new Newcastle boss Keegan's farcical tactical team meeting ahead of yesterday's 3-0 FA Cup fourth round drubbing at Arsenal. A Toon insider said: "The players were waiting for Kevin to give his instructions but all he said was: ‘Arsenal are a great passing team. We must make sure we pass the ball better than them.' "That was it. There were no specific tactics, no work on set pieces...the players were stunned." Newcastle have failed to score in both games since Keegan took over. And Middlesbrough defender Woodgate's decision to snub him comes just 24 hours after Alan Shearer rejected Keegan's offer to be his No 2. Keegan confessed: "I tried to bring in one new face and it was Woodgate, but I don't think I have been successful and it looks like we've lost out to Spurs. "It wasn't a question of money, it was purely down to where the boy wanted to go. "I wanted Wood-gate as the first part of the jigsaw. Spurs and us both had bids accepted but it looks like I've not got him." Woodgate, 28, was left out of Boro's team that beat Mansfield 2-0 yesterday and was set to undergo a medical last night. Boro boss Gareth Southgate confirmed: "There was a fee agreed with Newcastle but it was Jonathan's decision." http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/2701_woodgate.shtml

3-1 arsenal. come on reverse psycology

there is nothing wrong with saying one of your players is limited, when he is. What do you suggest, we say Ameobi is the new Pele ? Milner is nowhere near players such as Downing, Young, Bentley etc etc. This is the truth. Fair enough Young and Bentley but Downing is nothing special at all. Fair enough. I think he's a sort of left sided Beckham, he doesn't have great pace - although sometimes gets to the byline - but puts in good quick crosses. He also gets into the box and seems to score a few goals in there. dream on
-
people have no idea about this, you cant just claim somebody does nothing and is picking up a wage when you have no clue what goes on in the football club.
-
this 'milner is shit' thing that has just came up with the fans is typical of the fickle nature of supporters of our team. Instead of hitting him while he's on poor form people need to give him time (he's very young ffs) and get behind him. Remember how good he was last season and he never ducks out of putting in effort. It makes me sick to think of some of these people as supporters when all they do is criticise .

And for a minute there, I was beginning to feel ever so slightly empathetic with the man. But then he had to go and say that... Do you not think he was right though? It wasnt if he bunged Torino, Blackburn & Southampton above us. Oh I'm not sure I could actually be arsed to argue the point, tbh...mainly because deep down I think I realise he's right. Still hurts like f*** to have that reality rubbed in your face though. Especially at a time like this. It wasn't good TV watching the club you support getting talked down. Schadenfreude is as much a part of the sport as free kicks and dodgy penalties though. Talking of Schadenfreude, Souey did say " people who are professional agitators on the outside of the club, ex-employees of the club and journalists, seem to take great pleasure in causing the club a problem" Aye, I didn't see the interview myself, but when I read that on here I instantly thought how deeply ironic that statement was...having just stuck the boot in himself. The t***. i think souness talks alot of sense there and people cant get hung up on the fact he has called these clubs bigger than our's beacause in the big picture they are! I think its probly true about shepherd dabbling to much in the team and maybe if souness had his way we would have done alot better under him. He is by no means an awful manager and most of the team seemed to like him bar robert and bellamy, who are universally seen as selfish pricks so u cant say he lost the dressing room. HE was unfairly picked on from day 1 because he wasnt the fans choice, and this will keep on happening untill the croud gets behind the team (prooved once again in the alladyce debacle.) Maybe bringing back keegan with shearer would work because at least it would get universal backing. Obviously things went wrong for souness in the end and SA but can people really say it was all their fault when there is blatent problems behind the scenes at our club, which only are starting to sort themselves out now.

i would only want shearer for the first time he walks out into the dugout the support he would get would make the hairs stand up on my neck. after that it will probly go downhill
