Why does the timings of the games affect how ‘magic’ they are? Surely it’s better for the cup to have better tv coverage?
-
Andy Carroll is out of contract at the end of the season, would take him like better than joselu
-
It's not just "on TV". The VAR panel have loads of screens and loads of camera angles. No way they would have missed it last night. Exactly really don’t understand how people don’t think the decision would be changed? Also of course the game could be pulled back after continuing- even if wolves had scored
-
Did anyone here watch the World Cup- any serious incidents are brought to the refs attention, he then has to re look at it or take their advice. Last night we 100% would have had a pen Why in any world that would be a bad thing I really don’t know

Give them a bell. You'll probably get a pass for today and they'll send another out to you. Take ID. Deffo ring them though. You can turn up pay 1 or 2 pound for a reprint and then a fiver for a new card piece of piss mate

Anyone at this? Is there a pub to go to I’m on a solo mission there

Nations League play-off is after the Euro 2020 qualifiers. Aye but the finals for Group A is in the summer. The finals for the nations league not the playoffs mate So if we won it we could still potentially have to play those teams again in order to qualify through a tournament that we have already won against opponents we have already played and beaten? Well we could have to play in playoffs to get to the euros if we don’t qualify for the euros yes. The nations league as a tournament and as a back foot to the euros are 2 separate things It also decides the seeding for the euro qualifiers A massive success I would say One of the main reasons they listed for creating it was to give teams a chance to qualify for the Euro’s. They have made it theoretically possible that you could win the tournament and still not qualify. True still way better than meaningless friendlies though, created quite a few exciting games and the players seemed up for it I’m not saying it’s not better than meaningless friendlies. I just think that in the case of Group A winners, the winners of the Group A winners should gain that qualification place instead of having another play off round which could consist of the same teams. If as expected the Nations League winner does qualify for the Euro’s through the ordinary qualification rounds, then by all means then pass our play off place down to someone else. I guess then though the whole of the qualification process would be pointless, The nations league leading to less pointless games then creating 10 pointless qualifiers would then go against the point of it all

Bit baffled though surely nearly every team in group a will qualify automatically - who would then play in the playoffs??
-
They aren’t played till March 2020. June next year is the finals of the nations league Playoffs will go to the group winners or the next best placed that didn’t make it into the euros through qualifiers

Being Newcastle United there will be no sensations... Deep apathy and a smell of decaying under cared for rotting wood

Think this is a little bit of a disservice to alli. He links up play well and can make that late run into the box which the likes of Barkley and chamberlain can’t. Good in the air, good on the ball and can be a tough tackler. Not as effective for England as spurs as we are more of a counter attaching side but definitely should be in the squad and arguably a starter. Bit of a confidence player as well and I don’t think coming off the bench is his forte Agree with HTT post also sterling is more crucial to england

Credit where it’s due that’s class

What? Just the length of your posts on the last page Tbf 54 complimented the first one so keep doing what you're doing as long as people are still reading them They are class to be fair keep it up

Yes but lose it if we draw or lose now
-
Yet we still bring out a dvd to celebrate the easy route we got at the world cup that made people think we are good,Same with Roy before iceland whipped us this is the worst England squad i've seen Fuck off man utter shite

1 Score draw favours Croatia Oh yes
-
That’s exactly what he’s been doing from what I’m seeing, floating around and Croatia don’t know how to handle him. He’s popping up right left and centre and deeper if need be and his quick feet on the ball, runs off the ball and ability to pop up into space is causing them problems. He’s a very good player who could get crazy figures in terms of goals if he was a better finisher, he’s someone who could score every game it seems as he always seems to have a number of chances or gets into such great positions. Like Bellamy but better

It can't be exploited by either team, only the officials on the pitch in conjunction with those in front of the screen can bring the use of VARS. Not sure what your point is really in regard to delaying the game, for the gain of whatever team that might be. Same reason players on the leading side will feign injury, to interrupt the flow and reduce the pressure. You've never seen a game where the losing side are hammering the oppositon, but then they have a long injury and the game just fizzles out? As for who can abuse it, I'm pretty sure those paying for the service will be able to do whatever they like. I’m pretty sure you don’t have a clue what VAR is 5 mins to go leading team being bombarded, balls into the box, bit of a shirt tug, ball to hand, slightest touch on an attacker in the box, there are many ways VAR could end a game five minutes early. The game is only stopped if the VAR team think the wrong decision was made or if the ref needs help. Did you watch the World Cup? Where have I contradicted this? The point is the VAR team have the ability to stop the game. In the fact that you say players could abuse it. If anything it’s the opposite
