  1. Bah got here too late for the sexy stream. Was hoping I could relive the joy of the worst pre-season match I'd ever seen which was made a million times better with the fantastic Neil Sika. Was not meant to be.
  2. Not as eloquent as the last post, but another Cov fan on a different forum wrote: "He's a composed ball player, very much someone who looks to keep possession and 'dictate the tempo'. He's pretty short and lacking in strength and is still very raw in places but he's got very good technical talent and can play in any position really though he is a CM. He's got a great attitude and is a very hard worker, is always smiling and everyone claims he's really hard not to like and he's a devout Christian who does lots of work in the community. He needs a fair bit of polishing and I don't think he's near good enough to start in the prem yet but he's very much a diamond in the rough. "
  3. Was at the Football League awards this season when he won 'Apprentice of the Year'. Came across as a real down to Earth guy, very humble and very religious (thanked God a few times if I remember rightly). If he can't make it as a player maybe he can at least put Nile Ranger back on the right track.
  4. Looked a promising player albeit in a team that's struggled recently. Will be really happy if this deal goes through.
  5. Don't see anything wrong with this, always the option of a recall if we get too many knocks or his form becomes amazing. Should aid his development no end.
  6. Personally I thought the joke was related to the fact we're still using a fax machine.
  7. Clough was king until booze took hold.

    Chris Hughton

Think Norwich have got a decent side and replaced a good manager with another good one. Fingers crossed the get off to a good start and finish mid-table (below us mind).

    Graham Carr

Hope some of you local lads buy him a pint if you ever see him out and about. Has done a great job for us.
  10. Good news I say. http://static.tellymix.co.uk/files/2012/02/Britains-Got-Talent-2012.jpg

    Danny Guthrie

Always seemed to take ten minutes in a game to get up to speed hence why he was always so poor off the bench. Saying that some very good performances this season and can leave the club with his head held high. Won't forget that bloody awful challenge he made on Craig Fagan mind, had a nasty streak in him too.
  12. Would prefer de Jong in all honesty, but still far more desperate for us to sign a couple of defenders.

    Xisco

Because he isn't very talented hence why he doesn't even start for a second tier Spanish side? Likewise he does feck all in training and vastly prefers the nightlife of whatever city he's in to the training ground?
  14. Absolutely unbelievable. Believable from him but bloody ridiculous. Can't wait for European football again.
  15. Aye, his best season in 2006-07 never happened. Honestly, such a foolish poster at times. he had a good season that year but it's debatable whether it was his best or not. No need to be such a cock about it, either. But that's what Ronaldo's all about. In fairness to Dyer we got the best years out of him. Was horrible how we imploded against Sporting Lisbon after he went off in that Quarter Final. Doubt I've been as gutted from a game as I was from that.
  16. Surely the majority of jobs in football are 'stepping stones' to an extent? I'd imagine if Real Madrid came calling most managers in world football would head that way quick sharpish, Pardew included.
  17. Don't think Downing's as bad as all that but Johnson must be blowing after being overlooked. Maybe this will give him a kick up the arse to join a club and get first team football. Hopefully us.

    Alan Pardew

Would have been more surprised if he hadn't been linked to be honest.
  19. Cabaye already apologised to the kid and gave him a hug at half-time. Ref saw it as well, spoke to the player so it's done aside from probably MOTD having a cry over it later.
  20. Also Heitinga's two-footed challenge early on - had no control whatsoever and couldn't have complained had it been red. Instead he's spent the half fouling our strikers. Good work ref.
  21. Scally scouse kid. He's got one job and couldn't even do that right. Should have grabbed him by his ear and dragged him off to his parents for a bollocking.
  22. Martinez has confirmed that Mohamed Diamé (along with Hugo Rodallega, Chris Kirkland and Steve Gohouri) will be leaving Wigan in the summer as they won't be signing new deals for one reason or another. Would definitely like us to make a contract offer as he'd be at worst a good squad player.

    James Perch

Ah ok Aye but Perch blatantly quantum leaped into his body and did that himself. No other explanation. Oh boy!

    Papiss Cissé

Sorry lads, he's off to Real Madrid in the summer. Ridiculous goals, absolutely ridiculous.
