OOOOOUUUUU YYYEEEEAAAAHHHH!! DUFFMAN STRIKES AGAIN! - with his head....

Crossbar challenge has been scrapped and its a penalty shootout
-
Darnit... I like the crossbar challenge!

It's a shame we're losing, but there are plenty of positives to take from the first half.... most of them have already been mentioned. One thing I will say is Coloccini will bring in some much needed class into our defense. Taylor has been suspect a few times and he would benefit from someone like Coloccini.

New look Duff this season... looks promising so far!
-
No commentary yet??

Ashley is the man! Coloccini on the back...

I've been in Lagos for the past week and a half and didn't hear about any of this. Surprising as its not a huge city.

I'm up for going to any away games south of Birmingham, so if you're arranging pickups in the future for these games, we can certainly organise something!
-
Detour to Birmingham? Sounds good to me! But I would definitely be up for a regular couch trip up from the south passing Birmingham (or from Birmingham)

I hope Rangers get replaced with Celtic! I always love those battles... against a side worthy of being scottish champions!

Man Utd to win hopefully! Can't stand Chelski - I hate them with a passion!

There are certain factors that I think affect the current atmosphere. Stadium structure Playing style Wins/Loss If they built up all the sides to be even I think the noise would carry brilliantly! We are now starting to play some good football, which is attacking and entertaining, so I think if we were in a better position, say top 4-6 we may get more supporters joining in with the songs/chants and less leaving early (I can't believe people would want to pay all that money and leave the team they support early)! Again, more wins and losses at home would help a great deal. So option 3 - 70,000

Owen - He is the link between midfield and the strikers at the moment and rarely gives the ball away. He has some good creativity and although Dukes has played the holding role exceptionally well in the past few games, Owen would be a greater loss as we'd have to change our entire system.
-
Shame he's out as well Didn't realise that. In that case Diatta or Edgar. Please god not Ramage! Wash your mouth out for even mentioning that boys name!!

I've had enough fear of relegation to last a life time! The Toon are on the up and up! Can only get better from here on... Can't wait until next season... with the transfer spend looming (even though it is said every window), I can't wait to see what Big Mike and King Kev have in store for the Geordie faithful!

No heart, No pride, No Class, No Urgency, No point turning up! Awful as usual!
-
3-2 to us... we are due a bit of luck! Been a while since we got a result from a bad performance. Although i'm not routing for a bad performance along with 3 pts, I wouldn't be too disappointed!

Silkman is an absolute tosser! Agents are one of the biggest problems in football nowadays! Easy money for them and they don't even put in the real hard work! But then again... who does!??

Oba had an excellent game - best ive seen in a while. We have definitely missed him. His touch was brilliant and he linked up well with Enrique a couple of times. Deserved a goal with his performance and I am truly pleased he is back in the team! I have faith he will save us from the drop this year - he just needs to passes! I was in the crowd for the Blues game and he was the only player worth singing for!
-
No keeper could have saved that!

See sig for the team I would pick against Liverpool. Call me blind and optimistic but I think we can actually get something from this game! I think we can really turn the corner if we even get a draw from this game. Like others have indicated, if Torres and Gerrard play we will be in some trouble and I think we can't deal defensively with anything even near that kind of threat. However, with the upcoming CL game Liverpool have to think about Benni will do his usual rotation system and hopefully he won't play one or even both of those players... especially looking at our misfortune over the past... well since about 8 games in! As for Birmingham, if we don't get a win from that game I will be seriously worried! Yes they drew with Arsenal and beat Spurs, but Arsenal have been quite poor of late (for them anyway) and Spurs had just won the League Cup, so minds may still have been elsewhere. Birmingham is definitely a must win game! But lets get into that in the Blues thread that will start up as soon as the Liverpool game is over, i'm assuming!
