For Villa? I put £5 on at 8/1. Where did you get that? Maybe I was just a wee bit late. Skybet. Jonny Hall found me the odds as well, I think.

I think the club falls under the control of the family and it is also believed that there have been funds set aside to see the progress of Southampton enacted. Perhaps there hasn't been much set aside, but if the club is to be sold, I'm sure it'll be under strict selling conditions (perhaps waiving a fee for financial guarantees). Either way, the club are in a far better position in terms of finance and structure than a year ago, entirely down to him. They are debt-free, and with massive ambition. For a club that has been generally stuck in a rut of in-fighting and damaging club politics over the past decade (somewhat like Newcastle), every person associated with Southampton FC would show their appreciation for what Markus Liebherr did and all see him as single-handedly having saved the club. It's a big loss to the club and a loss to football too, he was obviously passionate (there are some pictures somewhere of him acting like an overexcited fan taking pictures of the squad collecting their medals at Wembley, sums it up really, within a year he'd gone from an unknown to one of their biggest and certainly most influential fans).

Lansbury looked decent when he came on, kinda like Wilshere/Cleverley lite. Lansbury isn't as good as Cleverley, not yet. Needs to be playing in a confident side, rather than being able to make an immediate impact regardless (as Cleverley can).
-
Danny Rose is still absolute dogshit. Danny Graham has 4 in 2. Scott Loach plays for England. His absence meant we could keep a clean sheet tonight.
-
Young Blackburn keeper, with the Under 21s apparently U21's number 1. Thought Loach was U21s number 1? Either way, Loach is shit. How many players have Newcastle got in this England squad btw?
-
Think we have a sell-on clause with Ashley Young. 10/15%?

8/1 - Sky Bet Thanks.

Can't find odds on Sven being next manager?

Great signing if true. I do like Watford for some reason. Is a return for Lansbury or a move for Randall out of the question? Word is that Lansbury's ours if a PL club doesn't come in for him (and meet Arsene's demand for regular first team football).

Rumour that the 'experience left-back' Malky Mackay has said we're close to signing is Paul Robinson. Would jizz in my pants if that happened.
-
Looking forward to who we get in on loan. Reckon we need a quality midfielder, back-up striker and an actual left-back.
-
Top of the league. Nice while it lasts.

The way you they were going on you'd think you were fielding loads of teenagers. Was fairly patronising. The way they were talking at the beginning, as though Norwich winning and our relegation were both foregone conclusions, really pissed me off. Same in most media as well. Tip us for relegation, fine, but when we disagree, no need to pat our heads and say 'you'll see'. Twats.
-
I meant a one goal lead. Point still stands. Sordell was impressive.
-
Tired already of being treated as though we're practically relegated already. Commentary was awfully patronising. More than pleasantly surprised by that performance, but again not entirely reassured by the defensive substitutions far too early in the game, when we only held a 1-0 lead. Good 3 points though.
-
Another move to piss off the local paper.
-
He's excellent. Hard-working, tenacious, excellent attitude, has goals in his game and is creative too.

Reckon Millwall will surprise a fair few on here. Don't think we'll go down either, but it's probably wise to predict us going down. Premiership Top 6: Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur Relegation: Blackpool, Newcastle, West Ham Surprise teams/players: Sunderland Top Scorer: Drogba Where will NUFC finish?: 18th Domestic Championship Promotion: Boro, Reading, Bristol City Championship Relegation: Derby, Scunthorpe, Crystal Palace FA Cup: Manchester United League Cup: Manchester City World La Liga winner: Real Madrid Serie A winner: Inter Milan Champions League: Barcelona World Player of the Year: Andres Iniesta Other First Prem manager to quit/be sacked/'mutual consent': Martin O'Neill NUFC's top scorer: New signing Will Blackpool get more than Derby's 11 points?: Yes.

Fuck you guys.

Pearson > Sousa. I reckon they'll do well to do as well as they did last season. Haven't seen any significant strengthening and Leicester aren't exactly packed full of goalscorers, so I doubt Sousa's more patient/boring/sideways yawnball will be super-effective.
-
Not a clue. Just know that he wasn't very happy and was having ago at someone else in the squad.
-
Bastos was apparently throwing a proper hissy fit at the 'team hotel' yesterday.
-
Yeah, even though it makes no sense if you consider some of the rumoured spats between the two. Maybe they kissed and made up, but I dunno.
-
Aye just to train no plans to sign him. People on the Watford board have been saying he's definitely off to Coventry for a while now.
