  1. IMO you need to produce those bits of individual quality to beat better teams i reckon. Im just so chuffed we finally have players who can do that and have been doing so
  2. What good was that to us? I wouldn't say we were going down, but regardless of what he's done in the past and where we were in the table, we were in relegation form when he was sacked. And you could say exactly the same about our record with Keegan. 5 wins out of 19. The point is, there is far, far more evidence to suggest Allardyce would have kept us up than not. His record with Bolton, Blackburn and even us to some extent, points to a fairly strong conclusion. What a f***ing daft conclusion. Bolton and Blackburn were teams built on sides with physically large players especially up front. The thick fat b****** Allardyce didn't have enough nous to adjust to the players we had and tried to implement his anti-football tactics with players who were bought for different qualities altogether. What a f***ing thick c*** he was. A f***ing thick c*** who took a team from around 19th to finishing 10th in the space of 18 months. Not to mention the brilliant job he did at Bolton. We have no idea who Allardyce wanted to sign for us. It's been firmly established in the past 3 years that the manager of our club has little say in such matters. I don't like the guy, or his brand of football. But of all the managers we've had since Bobby, he's by far the one i'd have the most confidence in to keep a poor team in the PL. His record speaks for itself, as much as the biased bunch would like to deny it. I remember in the January window when he got the boot we made approaches for West Brown & Lassana Diarra. The first our offer was rejected and the second he was asking for a crazy amount of wages so talks broke down. I agree with your post, like.. but I think that based on the type of players he brought in whilst here it was clearly what kind of squad he was trying to assemble. Arshavin as well ?
  3. Realistic suggestions mate, but even though i feel pienaar to be a great footballer, i believe he is on the decline
  4. The MLS will sell anyone at a decent price, means f*** all. This. MLS holds the contract of every player in the MLS and they will sell anyone at a decent price just to get the notoriety of "ex-MLS player in Prem" For what it's worth I think Donovan could still do a job in the Prem and like others have stated he works really well "in the hole" and also can beat players out wide and deliver a good cross. Fair enough
  5. donovan signed a new contract this year if i remember, wont be cheap
  6. Barton or lovelypants are the best pen takere in the team i believe
  7. I really really think hughton will be looking for a replacement for ben arfa in the january market too. Lets just hope we can afford something
  8. hes a 20 million pound left back now we really should get him a new contract ASAP
  9. Second time I've seen this drivel. It keeps possession. If he was doing it and getting tackled every time I would understand the point. Games like that you're crying out for central midfielders to buy you a bit of time with such composure - allowing the rest of the team to regroup at the back and move into advanced positions. Parker did it ahead of attempting forward passes at times, undoubtedly, which did deserve a moan at home when it was excessively negative, but most of the time he simply had no options and had to keep the ball rolling and keep possession. I far prefer that to Alan Smith's approach of passing the buck on to the central defenders who will invariably howk it long and give the ball back to the opposition. Like I said in the MT it was done with purpose. He helped us immensely by taking the pressure off, holding on to the ball and releasing it without passing it to the opposition. Clever play, HBA will get the plaudits from the press but Tiote for me was my MOM, i've not seen anything like him play for us in years, we've been crying out for him, and best of all he's ours, not a loan but signed on for the cause. I'm thrilled. Its not a bad thing like, its a little frustrating at times when he could be making a pass and being creative but i guess that's not his job. TBH i was referring to one specific time when ben arfa was free on the left and he needed to distribute! but other than that his game was immense.
  10. at least he has the scott parker pirouette down pack. great game nevertheless

  14. Did you miss the part about natural LB. I think he is =)
  15. I think ranger is very frustrating to watch when he is placed on the right wing and not up front.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Surely you can see the reasoning behind him kicking up a fuss. Yes, I can. It's still not very professional though (but a typical Frenchie thing to do) He walked out of training because it was said to him he could leave if certain demands were met.... they were met he didn't get to leave he throws toys out of the pram nothing unusual for a footballer and his ENTOURAGE
  18. sampdoria are doing well with anotino cassano? sometimes it works, most of the time it doesnt but.
  19. lets give the bloke a chance
