  1. Who are those people who questioned Enriques pace? Show yourselves!
  2. Very soft yellow, that. Good pace from Jose though. Oh, and GOALL!!!
  3. if o'hara plays lm instead of bentley, Jonas will have a much tougher task. How come Bentley isn't playing to his capabilities? I have no clue. I could sort of understand it at the beginning because he was played out of position (Ramos played him lm or just behing the front man). Now Redknapp's come in and is playing him in his natural position, he's still playing s**** with the odd decent game here and there. His set pieces have benn an utter joke thus far. I reckon it's because he doesn't give a shit. He looked like he was out to prove something at Blackburn, I'll admit I haven't seen him that much this season but when I have seen him he's seemed more bothered about his hair than the game.
  4. aye, just like the last time we played spurs. So you think it will be a s*** match? different circumstances It doesn't mean that it won't be a good match though. That's the logic of an idiot.
  5. But we need a midfielder we know can do a job in the league and is available now. Bullard fits the bill, so if we got him and a few more bassong-type signings to pad out the squad then I'd be happier going into the tail end of the season.

    Lookalikes

Johnson is here! Johnson is here!
  7. Not to burst your bubble but under Kinnear we haven't actually lost at home. Infact our last loss at home was back in September just before Kinnear formally took charge.
  8. The alternative is we get 1 or 2 CL spots, and then 3 or 4 UEFA Cup spots though...so it doesn't really make any difference. I see what you're saying, I just don't see why the intertoto had to go - that was another route to europe. We get 2 UEFA spots through the FA and Carling cups.. I don't know, it just seemed a bit more balanced with 4 of each to me. With only 1 UEFA spot now I think it'll segregate the league even more. I don't see us finishing 5th any time soon. And as for the fair play thing.. nobody has a fucking clue how that works!
  9. It's fucking ridiculous. We have 4 champions league spots through league finish and 1 UEFA spot through league finish.
  10. In his first game, funnily enough. All downhill from here. Of course, Martins overhead kick, etc. Geremi's look of disbelief was the highlight of Sam's tenure. Can't see the Blackburn game until 8pm, are they hoofing it and getting lucky? Don't know about the 3rd or the 1st but the 2nd was DEFINITELY against the run of play. Not sure if the first was a legit penalty or not, like.
  11. Alot of Depor fans said it'd take at least a season for Coloccini to truly find his feet. I'm confident that he'll get even better for us in the coming seasons - assuming he stays of course.
  12. Straightest cones in the league. good luck to the both of them though.
  13. You are aware that Keegan came back, right? His record is better than the Record KK have in his second term thus make him a better one over him. You're completely and utterly wrong. Keegan had a win percentage in his second stint of just over 28%. Kinnear currently has a win percentage of just over 27%. For christ sake Roeder had a win percentage of just over 45% and Souness a win percentage of 43%. Your argument is really flawed if that's what you're basing it on. So you think Roeder is better manger we had since Bobby. Not at all, the reason I posted them stats was to show you how your reasoning for saying that Kinnear is a better manager than Keegan is flawed. You said that Kinnear has a higher win percentage than Keegan did in his second stint so therefore he must be the better manager, I was just showing you that firstly you were wrong about the stats and that secondly the stats aren't a clear indication, because by them standards, both Souness and Roeder did good jobs - which of course they didn't.

  15. As I recall NE5, when the Keegan did walk out several posters did point out that you did appear to be right all along - Dave is one that sticks out in my mind. What I don't get though is why you constantly feel the need to bring the subject up. We know that the club is in a terrible state and that in many ways the old board did do a good job - whether or not we'd have ever got anywhere again with the old board or won a trophy is only conjecture now and will never be proven - we also know that the club would be much, much better off in the hands of another owner who understands the fans, area and club.. But why do you feel the need to constantly rattle on about this old board new board bollocks? You know the feelings of specific posters, we ALL know your opinion on the matter - with or without our consent - you go on about 'educating' people about the facts and figures but it's not your job to educate anybody about this club. Instead of being a well respecter poster and member of this community you constantly go out of your way to alienate people with your 'truth', like a doombringer with a sandwich board on the edge of the road telling us about the end of the world and much like this man you're treated like the resident nut and when people see you they cross the other side of the street. Sad thing is that I actually enjoy a fair few of your opinions and you've witnessed sights with this club that I truly missed out on because of my age or circumstances at the time.
  16. I don't particularly care what Allardyce/the media/Blackburn fans have to say to be honest. They'll either do alright or fail miserably but nothing more under him. He blew his one chance of working for a big club and showed his true colours.. end of the day we all know the truth.
  17. He'll do what he did to Liverpool and run down his contract. I really don't expect him to sign. Saying that though, at least if he does do that he'll stay professional and keep performing for as long as he's fit. Owen certainly won't throw a Berbatov-esque strop. For as long as he stays out of the England squad he'll be great for us.
  18. As I remember it he wasn't able to adapt to the premier league at all, and that was a few years ago. Great player, but not for us I think. He played 64 games for Chelsea and scored a goal every 2.66 games (24 goals). No matter what other problems he may have had at Chelsea that's a pretty excellent goal scoring record. That many? I didn't think he'd played half of that to be honest.. completely forgot about his wife losing the baby aswell.
