  1. All the teams we wanted to lose this weekend have won, it's written in the stars that we're going to lose. Because we're Newcastle, that's what we do. I'm not feeling confident about this at all, I continue to be underwhelmed by Kinnear's running gob and lack of tactical eptitude. Don't even get started on the substitutions! If we win this game, it'll be by luck, with the odd flash of brilliance. It'll be a horrible match to watch no matter what the outcome, really nervy. Oh and what Wullie said. Nicky Butt could be hobbled in a Stephen King novel and he'd still game at this club, it's a fucking enigma.

    Martins

Martins will be the one giving way though Drop Oba for Owen, he would'nt would he? surely its Shola to make way. Doubt it, Ameobi is performing for JK and I reckon he'll want Owen to play with a large targetman type striker.
  3. This is spot on, I'm a referee and that's how I go on. I've got no problem with banter as long as it doesn't turn sour.
  4. How?? who cares who finsihes 20th and who finishes 19th. The fact is, we need the teams closer to the relegation zone to lose so both of us would at least be in with a chance of staying up. I was talking in terms of Newcastle to be honest, if you'd have drawn there'd be a nice 3 point buffer between us, now there's one point apart and I have less and less faith in this club to pull it together. The fact that a team below us has gained points is worse to me than a team above us hasn't got a point from a draw. Nothing personal, like. I know it's nothing personal mate, but i dont understand your logic. It's irrelevant which 1 out of us finishes 19th and which one finishes 20th. We'd both still be playing championship football next year. At least now, we've dragged another team into the mix. There's no logic involved at this point in time, haha. I've just looked at the table for the first time in about 2 weeks and changed my opinion, in the greater scheme it is more in our favour. Thought Wigan were doing better to be honest.

  6. A draw for Spurs Bolton would have been the best result. Joke of a weekend.
  7. EDIT - Duff11 beat me to it heh. Wife beaters are just as bad. Roy Keane should have been banned for life for ending another professionals' career.
  8. He's much more skinny than I thought he'd be.
  9. Brilliant referee. Last I saw of him he got injured in that charity football match, he looked in agony.
  10. I met him a few years back when I was at the Sheffield Wednesday v Man City FA cup match. He was injured and before the game he went into the Wednesday fans area to buy some food. It's so bizarre, like others have said. I shared a few words with him and he comes across as a level headed and inteligent person.. then the next day he'll do something utterly thuggish. I've yet to see an interview tha portrays him as the person that beat up a youth outside McDonalds etc.

    Jonas Gutierrez

The J sounds a bit like a Y in Spanish.
  12. Same happened last season, but I've got a feeling they wore their home kit at ours. Not on, really.
  13. Souness wasn't old school, just an arsehole who couldn't admit he was ever wrong.
  14. Well the managers see them train and get to know them as people, we don't. Luque is one that really fell out of favour with Roeder thinking back.
  15. Poll is a typical referee and I wouldn't be surprised if he'd never played the game at a decent level. He understands the rules, but not the game.
  16. Whats he actually said? Not been tuned in..
  17. Since when did Graham Poll because the voice of footballing reason?
  18. With any justice for this game Beye will be starting, with Barton & Gutierrez potentially with a call for a starting place. On top of that Ameobi and Duff look lively and Martins and miraculously healed from his 'injury'. Oh, and Owen is potentially back for this. I reckon going on the back of the last two draws they're there for the taking. Oh, and Bassong is looking good at left back too.
  19. Wasn't expecting a point and 3 would have been fantastic, but this is definately a good result. 2 draws against City & Everton should do well for when we take on the Mackems on Saturday. With Jonas potentially back! Get in!
