  1. I think people just want to cut the crap out of the team to be honest. If we can ship him out and replace him with a player that Keegan would prefer it'd only benefit the team. Either way, one more year isn't going to really bother me. I'm more worried about the 4(?) left on Smiths contract.
  2. What Olivier Dacourt? He's 33 isn't he? No chance.
  3. If I had a pound for every time Oliver used the words "transfer window" and "slams shut" in the same sentance I'd be a fucking millionaire. He's just a concoction of misinformation and cliches. I'm sure if we don't sign enough players I'll be seeing "paper thin squad" until December on a regular basis.
  4. If we use our pace I can't see too much of a problem. We're at home so we should go out looking to frustrate them and getting them to give away corners and dangerous free kicks. Bolton may be on a high after beating Stoke, but with us having held the champions of Europe in their own backyard the crowd will be really up for this. I think we'll win and the scoreline won't reflect our performance either. Martins to be on the warpath aswell.
  5. The thing about Bolton scoring against Stoke with two headers though is that the Stoke team are massive. It's like land of the giants. I think the footballing brains of our players and the atmosphere at St. James as the first home game will be too much for Bolton who will just go for damage limitation and get behind the ball.
  6. I'm so glad he got found out for what he really is, nothing more than a route1 merchant. If he'd have been willing to adapt a bit and hadn't been so pig headed he may have done better here. Just so stuck in his ways, unable to accept any of the blame.. unbelievable.
  7. Found this pic on th F365 forums, its a bit big so I've put it in a spoiler tag. Great effort!
  8. You're not being serious are you? He's deadly serious, didn't you hear him? ITS CLEARLY GONE TOO FAR NOW!
  9. Because he can't afford all the letters to have that. Club shop prices are daylight robbery.
  10. Should have used Malaguena Salerosa, the song on the credits of Kill Bill vol.2 Good comp though, forgot how good he is already. I'm in love.
  11. Keegan said in an interview that him and the scouting team were responsible for the capture of Gutierrez. He said that when trying to sign him everyone worked really well together and got the deal through quickly and without complications. There's obviously a system set up there and if it's working then that's all that matters to me.
  12. Yeah Cacapa is pretty decent against them physical teams Reckon we shouldn't be too bad with him & Colo at the back in all honesty. Hopefully the midfield will ease the pressure off them a bit.
  13. You can give many examples like that; the 4-2 win over West Ham with Souness, the 4-1 win over Alkmaar with Roeder, the Arsenal game with Allardyce - and sat that this one is no different... the difference here is, we have several better performers and a manager who isn't guaranteed to make it all go tits up in a couple weeks' time. It was 4-2 against AZ, they went on to beat us 2-0 at home and won on away goals. Good post though.

    Saviola on loan?

Having Colo & Guti here would also help him settle in aswell. Thinking about it, I wouldn't be surprised if this one came off. I'd definately be happy with it, there's no doubting he has ability. Could spell the end of Owen though in the long term.
  15. Loved how Rio & Giggs were bickering loads when it wasn't going their way. Anyone else noticed how few yellow cards we've been getting since Keegan got us hitting a bit of form? Fair Play Table here we come!
  16. Agree with Dave, he seemed a little nervous at the beginning, which is understandable really. Settled down a bit and him and Taylor didn't look too bad together.
  17. Guthrie - goals in preseason on his home & away debuts. Keep the trend up lad.
  18. Hoping to be impressive by Colo. I'd be mortified if he flopped.
  19. We will be player four four fucking two.
  20. From what I've seen of the Spurs game, it was more the midfield being overrun rather than the defence.. I'll see better tonight on MOTD though. Spurs to get some great results against the big teams & lose against the likes of Hull. Just like us, inconsistent.
  21. No, guessing it'll be a few weeks til he figures again, what with having no preseason.
