  1. We have a.. Itzy bitzy Argentini Fabirico Coloccini... Read that somewhere. Made me smile.
  2. The club bought him because the manager wanted a 'grafter' who could play several positions. I very much doubt he was bought because he played alright at Leeds. Either way, can't argue that Allardyce wasn't backed.
  3. Well if nobody knows how can you say he isn't on 25k/30k? Answer that one, oracle.
  4. You do it, I'm not too bothered personally.
  5. So if he is on £10k a week then, which is quite possible, do you not think he is worth a rise? Considering O Neil has been giving his youngsters new contracts quite publicly this week and that other players of similar calibre in our team are possibly on more than he is. And if he is on that and the club have said no to a new contract do you think he should just accept that and stay for another 3 years before he gets a rise? If you think that will ever work in any line of business you're quite naive. However if he is on £20k pw and is arguing over £30k, then its slightly different. But I don't think he is on £20k a week, I think its closer to £10k and hes probably asking for £20k. But we dont know do we? So there's no way you can say he isn't worth a rise. Even a player of milners age, quality and end product has a value to us regardless of goals, assists etc. If hes not getting that then theres something wrong IMO. Milner has done nothing to earn a new contract since he last signed one. He played very hit and miss last season, offered very little in the way of assists, goals or creating chances for us and it wasn't until he was injured and therefore not playing in the team until we saw a marked improvement on the pitch. Geremi offered much more than him and that says something. If he had gone and had a brilliant season he'd have a leg to stand on, but he didn't. He has two choices now, stay and fight for a new contract or leave. If we get a replacement I wouldn't be bothered to see him leave to be honest.
  6. Taylors contract was running down, that's why he recieved a new one. If Milner wasn't happy with the terms on his contract a year ago he shouldn't have agreed to them.
  7. I think the panic signing label can only be used if the player was brought in for the sake of getting another body in, rather than someone who would directly improve the first team squad. I'll see what we've got come Tuesday before I start throwing toys out the pram and going on about how the board failed or succeeded or were better than the old one or whatever.
  8. Why in 12 minutes? Whats going on now? BIG WILLIE?!??!
  9. Stop telling Mike Ashley to 'take note' of teams like Sunderland because they never shut up and Man City because their owner will cripple them financially with the way he's spending.
  10. i don't believe that tbh got a lot of players that are commanding huge wages on their potential and status They have a much stronger midfield than us.
  11. I love it when rubberface misses out on players he's gone on about wanting publicly.
  12. I don't think there's an issue with money and wages. The problem - as has already been said - is getting players to come to us. We've got a load of people saying how they'd be stupid not to because of the crowds and Keegan and the other lot are going on about not having Europe. I'm happy with the people we've got so far this window, although I'll be concerned if we don't get another two more names in of the same calibre as Jonas or at the very least, Guthrie. Personally, I don't think we will.
  13. Fuck it, I'm sick of wingers from Chelsea. Do City even need a winger?
  14. Nani and Anderson moved in with Ronaldo initially...he um, helped them settle in, so to speak. Wasn't there a story about a mass orgy going on after they won a game and Nani was stood topless exclaiming to a load of girls how fit he was or something?
  15. If we could replace Milner with a player like Lennon like Carlito said, we'd have a terrific amount of pace on the wings and a backline that is generally fairly young and definately not slow. Our frontline has some decent legs, too. A bit more intelligence in the team could make us deadly on the counter attack.
  16. Thing about Milner is that he's a good player who has shown that he can cut it in the league, but he's so frustrating to watch. When I was at the match on Saturday there were a few things he did that infuriated me. I remember when someone passed a ball to him in Boltons box and he stood there waiting for it to come to him rather go to it before the defender knocked it clear. And I simply have no idea how football players can complain about bad wages when even players like Andy Carroll are on a decent enough packet in the greater scheme of things. I think there's more to it than him wanting a wage increase because Taylor & N'Zogbia are on more.
  17. If it was liverpool I'd be utterly amazed.
  18. I suppose it's feasible that nothing would be announced until we had a replacement lined up.. only time will tell though.
  19. I'm sorry but WTF are you talking about I'm making some sence by telling you Milner is being forced out of this club.WTF are you talking about? You make little sense. What are you ranting on about with Wise and his negative attitude towards Milner. Have they 'been at loggerheads'?
  20. Keep up. These agent reports have been rubbished.
  21. Keeping this secret to himself, is he?
  22. JP - 27 August 2008 14:17 If Newcastle allow Milner to leave us I doubt I would be able to stand this club and their nonsense anymore I think. We should do what ManUre have done with Ronaldo end of. Either that or offer him a bumper contract! I just can't believe it just when things started to look good for us! ..Bless.
