You can give many examples like that; the 4-2 win over West Ham with Souness, the 4-1 win over Alkmaar with Roeder, the Arsenal game with Allardyce - and sat that this one is no different... the difference here is, we have several better performers and a manager who isn't guaranteed to make it all go tits up in a couple weeks' time. It was 4-2 against AZ, they went on to beat us 2-0 at home and won on away goals. Good post though.

Having Colo & Guti here would also help him settle in aswell. Thinking about it, I wouldn't be surprised if this one came off. I'd definately be happy with it, there's no doubting he has ability. Could spell the end of Owen though in the long term.

Loved how Rio & Giggs were bickering loads when it wasn't going their way. Anyone else noticed how few yellow cards we've been getting since Keegan got us hitting a bit of form? Fair Play Table here we come!

Agree with Dave, he seemed a little nervous at the beginning, which is understandable really. Settled down a bit and him and Taylor didn't look too bad together.
-
He's defending for two remember
-
Guthrie - goals in preseason on his home & away debuts. Keep the trend up lad.
-
Hoping to be impressive by Colo. I'd be mortified if he flopped.
-
We will be player four four fucking two.

From what I've seen of the Spurs game, it was more the midfield being overrun rather than the defence.. I'll see better tonight on MOTD though. Spurs to get some great results against the big teams & lose against the likes of Hull. Just like us, inconsistent.

No, guessing it'll be a few weeks til he figures again, what with having no preseason.
-
I'd rather have Smith, so when we're winning games comfortably we can bring him on to taunt the opposition.

This weekend's matches (also sweepstake on first goalscorer)

I think Fabregas is injured, Bontempi.. at least that's what my fantasy team is telling me. -
According to Spurs' OS, there are 13 British players in the first team squad. There would have been 14 earlier in the day but Gardner has now gone. According to Newcastle's OS, there are 9 British players in the first team squad. Add Guthrie to that, 10 in total. Well English players for Newcastle: Owen, Guthrie, Barton, Harper, Milner, Butt, Ameobi, Smith, Taylor, Lough, Forster, Marwood, Donaldson, Tozer, Morris, Godsmark, Doninger, Carroll - 18 English players for Tottenham: Bentley, Jenas, Woodgate, King, Bent, Lennon, Huddlestone, Bostock, O'Hara, Dawson, Alnwick - 11 If I've missed any out of either team let me know but thats how it really stands. A fair few of ours have come through our academy too.

He's no Albert Luque

Second loan deal for Portsmouth. Surprised with the Ben Sahar one to be honest.
-
He's meant to return to the first team in September. A 4 match ban from the start of the season wouldn't bother me if thats the case.
-
We've got a pretty strong Spanish contingent in the squad now. Thinking about it Michael Owen can speak Spanish aswell. Haha.
-
Aww I want a PM about it too.
-
7 man bench aswell this season. Wouldn't be surprised to see a few appearances here and there at the end of games.
-
Well at least that's some of the tension broken on here now. Haha. Baptism of fire if he does play on Sunday, like.
-
It's all kicking off today. Shola might be going? Jesus, Keegan will have to explain to us why he did it on the steps of St. James Park again.
-
The Bolton fans were bothered. There were links on here about them kicking off because we'd got their best CB. Wouldn't want to see him go but at the same time wouldn't want him here if he really isn't happy and wants away.
-
Lets sell him and spend fucking ages releasing the registration. Oh, and not announce he's been sold. Yeah, lets do that.

Was it Everton that announced on the club website that they'd signed Riquelme & then took it down too late as loads of fans saw it? Then the club announced it was just 'a test' or similar. that made me chuckle.
