  1. You know what I hate? Competent journalists.
  2. Now I need to go bleach my eyes again, thanks!
  3. Apathy has surely dissolved some of the hate that Bruce is deserving of. Pardew started the dampening of ambition and belittling the club, Bruce has just picked up the mantle and ran (ironic) with it, but he's not a southerner, he should know better.
  4. Ashley only acts if we spend too much time in the bottom 3, if we start to get cut adrift then he will act. If we're bouncing round the bottom but only dipping in and out of the bottom 3 then he'll persevere.
  5. Just seen this, horrific and undeserving.
  6. Too early to tell just yet but early signs are worrying, we look rudderless, disjointed and bereft of any ideas. I'll start with a solid 9 based on what I've seen so far, something needs to change pronto.
  7. Well that was probably my 1 and only game I'll watch this season, went as expected. Our strongest team too, Villa were poor and we made it far too easy for them. Officiating didn't help and no doubt will be used as an excuse by Brucey and swallowed up by the supporters but we could have played all day and not scored.
  8. Richie the weak link in what is probably our strongest team on paper, if Villa have done their homework they'll exploit their right side. We've got enough to get a goal or two though, tough one to call but I'll echo the statement that if we can't make a fight of it with this team then we should rightly be very worried.
  9. I wish I had your confidence, I really do mate and if it doesn't go the way we want it to I hope that doesn't affect you too much. I'm still on the fence with it all but it's not over until its over. I'm sure even your most vocal detractors would agree that NUFC as it is now is pointless and worthless and want Ashley gone ASAP and an NUFC to be proud of.
  10. This is the problem with society in general these days, everyone has to be right and if you don't agree with what they think is right then you need to be ridiculed, derided, scorned and schooled. I know for a fact, for example, myself and @ManDoon (sorry to name drop you) have very different political beliefs. However I've shared this forum with him for 9 years and think he's a great bloke. Sometimes it's OK to agree to disagree and understand that people have different views and opinions that have been shaped by a different life to yours, you don't have to see eye to eye on everything. We all share a love for (what once was) NUFC and ultimately we all want what's best for our club.
  11. He might quit if the match goers turn on him, no doubt to a chorus of "hounding him out". Either way, until Ashley goes who fricken cares anymore?
  12. There's a distinct lack of endeavour from top to bottom, it takes a special kind of autonomy to thrive in a sea of mediocrity. It's no surprise that so many players get stunted when a manager like Bruce takes over and an owner like Ashley owns the club.
  13. The only way we're winning this is if Willock starts and somehow we manage to get balls into him, ASM and Wilson.
  14. One of the reasons I think Jones would be a better option than Bruce, at least he'd train them more than twice a week, at least they'd get some decent sessions and at least build up some stamina. Bruce has our lot looking like asthmatic geriatrics by the 60th minute, we're completely gassed out, less soft tissue injuries and less nail biting in games we're 1 or 2 up.
  15. Your first mistake was thinking we had any regimes. We run and run a bit more maybe twice a week at best.
  16. Let's be honest, it's not a nice word to use, it's a bit offensive but it's not worth losing sleep over if someone decides to use it.
  17. I'm currently on my way out for the day so I'll conveniently miss this. For anyone watching I both pity you and wish you as little psychological damage as possible.
  18. Had a quick scour of the Everton forums, there's some warming to him, some willing to give him some slack as long as he's winning and still a vocal amount slagging him off, putting the win down to managers first game or poor quality opposition, etc.. They really don't deserve him, he changed that game at half time.
  19. He folded them up, took his glasses wallet out of his inside pocket, put them in and put them back in his jacket inside pocket. I'm more relieved than I should be
  20. Interesting to see how they feel about Rafa tonight
