The Forest match was a game changer, this will be ruthless by us, could start cagey but think we'll win comfortably in the end, even without Shelvey.
-
Their form has been appalling all year and he's making out like it's just the last few games, again this happened at Newcastle and he was rarely challenged. Did you not know, after every win the clock is reset? So the next 4 losses in a row will be just another blip, it's that one win in the middle that's his true form.

I thought a lot of our players deserve a lot of credit for tonight, it was a gritty, well drilled performance in the face of adversity, we haven't seen that in a Newcastle side for a number of years. Darlow was a beast, Hayden was everywhere, they all dug deep and didn't get what they deserved from that.

The referee is directed to give a yellow if the player genuinely attempted to play the ball, but it is still a red card offence if the player deliberately fouls his opponent with no attempt to play the ball. As Peter Beagrie summed up earlier, it wasn't possible for Dummett to play the ball because Lansbury stopped dead right in front of him and forced Dummett to run into the back of him Normal human reaction times tells you it was near on impossible for Dummett to avoid some sort of collision in that circumstance, therefore he did not deliberately push Lansbury to the floor. Not to mention the fact that Lansbury was already parallel to the floor, falling forward when Dummett finally caught up with him. Should have been a card for a dive iyam

Absolutely robbed by a cheating, diving prick and a bent as fuck ref that might as well have been wearing red.
-
Utter bullshit, what's the odds the ref gives Darlow a second yellow at the first opportunity and another penalty once his heroics are out of the way?
-
Darlow is quality like, amazing. This ref needs shot with shit, fucking bollocks!

It's definitely not just us No way this is just happening here.

We've been here before, disappointment is always a hard pill to swallow and we've had our fair share over the years, recent years this would be the start of our usual capitulation and headlong tumble down the league, under a few managers, we have every right to be concerned. But we shouldn't be, we shouldn't be berating Rafa, tactics, subs, each other, he's already proven that he knows what he's doing, he won't get it right every week but he'll get it right often enough to see us win this league. Yesterday was demoralising but let's be honest, we were never going to win the cup, I'd be surprised if we even drew one of the semi final legs. I'm going for a professional display, nothing pretty and probably a narrow win but with a clean sheet, another Rafa masterclass.

What were our defenders doing for their goal man ? The whole team cost us the place, not just Sels. Everyone went to sleep and it's unforgiveable, but he is to blame for the goal going in. He nearly cost us a few times before that as well, he was lucky when he failed to come off his line the ball bounced kindly for him in that break away also. You are really being an arse if your using a lucky bounce against him. I'm not using the lucky bounce against him, I'm using the fact that he had plenty of time to get off his line and take away the danger before he got the lucky bounce.

We should have buried them in normal time, should have been a goal up at least in the first half alone, we controlled the tempo, kept the ball and snuffed out most of the danger. Hull pretty much played with the intention of taking it to penalties for 120 minutes and we couldn't get through. I thought we played well enough, just lacked a real finisher on the pitch and a lot of the final third play was sloppy. Ultimately Sels will take the brunt of the result due to bad, nervous goalkeeping at a crucial moment.

I think he pulled a few punches there but at least someone in the mainstream media is calling him out on the "I" "We" interviews that he does.
-
You merely adopted the Pardew, we were born with him...
-
Palace fans know fuck all, he hasn't even reached peak Pardew yet. When they get to unmitigated levels of irrational hatred and desire to burn their club from the foundations up, then and only then can they ask for forgiveness. They're only just now starting to wish for their team to lose, they're only at stage 2 of grief. Fuck them and fuck Pardew, I hope it all ends in tears and relegation, much deserved.
-
Can't see Hull taking this game too seriously, they've got too many worries in the league and the league cup isn't any kind of priority for most teams as is. Rafa is desperate to be the man that brings some silverware back home for what has been an age, he'll throw the kitchen sink at this one. I'm not saying it'll be easy but it'll be clear who wants it more. Massive opportunity this one and Rafa doesn't do losing streaks.
-
I'm sure they're just massive trolls, especially Ian Wright, whatever way you fold it, the buck stops with the guy at the top, you know, the one that's paid handsomely to find the players, recruit the players, train the players, motivate the players and come up with the tactics the players use. Ian Wright needs to have his vocal cords removed with a rusty knife for the sake of humanity and more importantly, my sanity.

OK own up, who was this?
-
It's a carbon copy, cut & paste job from when he was here. The players are letting him down, they're too good to be where they are, he'll get it right soon. You've got to ask if all the players let him down, everywhere he goes, what's the one common denominator? I can guarantee it's not "good manager" Pardew. But it looks like his job is safe for now so let it continue

Pissed me off reading that, we had years of it and other than a few fan websites nothing like it was printed for us. It's great reading like, but where was this kind of coverage from ESPN when the fraud was spouting this kind of bullshit and worse for us?
-
Made his own bed, let him rot in it. He wasn't here long enough to have any feels on the matter. Could have had it good here, we've got Richie now so who cares?
-
Night and day this lad, full of confidence and on form he looks a world beater, but on his off days (too many) he looks totally lost, there's literally no in-between.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

It's an odd feeling wondering where our next loss could possibly come from rather than the usual depression of wondering where our next win was coming from. -
6 days until this? What a load of shite! 9 in a row?
