  1. He'll do what he did with us, have them floating lower-mid with the odd flirtation with relegation. What do they expect though? That FA Cup final will haunt them for eternity.
  2. I hope he beats Hull, it's an irrelevant match in the grand scheme of things and it prolongs the agony of those sanctimonious Palace fans, so have at it Pardew, do a little dance for the TV.

Ah well if they go down then it's farewell for a long time, if they stay up it gives us an opportunity to right some wrongs with an actual manager in charge.
  4. I have known some dubious calls go for us in the past, concensus of opinion is usually, yeah we were lucky to get that. Certainly if a red card was rescinded for something like that I would, as I'm sure most on here, hold my hands up and say fair call. I don't get the small time mentality, when half the footballing world knew the ref had a shocker, to then make out we're having preferential treatment?!? They cheated, they won, it got overturned, laugh it off and carry on, you've still won regardless of the outcome of those red cards ffs. Bitter faux mackems.
  5. More annoyed than ever now, it's good they've been rescinded and both players are free to play but it's annoying as fuck the FA have basically admitted we were cheated out of 3 points and there's fuck all we can do about it. Lansbury should get a 4 game ban for cheating and the ref should be handed his P45 for one of the worst performances I've ever seen.
  6. I think both would be better off going for Defoe tbh. Irregardless of what the mackems say or think if a London club came in for him he'd be begging them to leave
  7. It's obvious the FA will turn a blind eye to it, but if any of the officials had actually seen the Shelvey incident, it was handbags, yellow for both and play on. If the ban stands for Shelvey then Lansbury should be banned too. The correct decision is to drop Shelvey's red to yellow but it doesn't work like that.
  8. More to do with the initial tackle and kick out at Shelvey before he retaliated tbf
  9. If he plays all our players should go down clutching a random body part every time he comes near them. Either that or rough the fucker up to tears. He's gonna get dogs abuse if he dares show his face, that much is fact.
  10. Can't argue with this tbh I do however want us to build a gap as big as possible, as early as possible from all the other teams. If only to make me feel some sort of satisfaction. And I guess many others on here feel the same and that it's not about being "worried" about other teams. we have a point to prove and mouths to shut and daylight at the top will do that. We should and will build it sooner rather than later. Teams in the chasing pack losing just help solidify our position earlier.
  11. Pretty happy that they won today tbh, deluded Palace fans, what do they expect to win every week and be in the champions league? He's won a game, he's clearly a good manager... And so it begins, the perpetual 1 game from the sack, only to defy the odds and paper over the cracks, just keeping their heads above water, flirting with but never actually meeting relegation, slowly but surely destroying the soul of the club. ENJOY!

    Jose Mourinho

    Drowned some kittens too iirc
  13. The Forest match was a game changer, this will be ruthless by us, could start cagey but think we'll win comfortably in the end, even without Shelvey.
  14. Their form has been appalling all year and he's making out like it's just the last few games, again this happened at Newcastle and he was rarely challenged. Did you not know, after every win the clock is reset? So the next 4 losses in a row will be just another blip, it's that one win in the middle that's his true form.
  15. I thought a lot of our players deserve a lot of credit for tonight, it was a gritty, well drilled performance in the face of adversity, we haven't seen that in a Newcastle side for a number of years. Darlow was a beast, Hayden was everywhere, they all dug deep and didn't get what they deserved from that.
  16. The referee is directed to give a yellow if the player genuinely attempted to play the ball, but it is still a red card offence if the player deliberately fouls his opponent with no attempt to play the ball. As Peter Beagrie summed up earlier, it wasn't possible for Dummett to play the ball because Lansbury stopped dead right in front of him and forced Dummett to run into the back of him Normal human reaction times tells you it was near on impossible for Dummett to avoid some sort of collision in that circumstance, therefore he did not deliberately push Lansbury to the floor. Not to mention the fact that Lansbury was already parallel to the floor, falling forward when Dummett finally caught up with him. Should have been a card for a dive iyam
  17. Absolutely robbed by a cheating, diving prick and a bent as fuck ref that might as well have been wearing red.
  18. Utter bullshit, what's the odds the ref gives Darlow a second yellow at the first opportunity and another penalty once his heroics are out of the way?
  19. Darlow is quality like, amazing. This ref needs shot with shit, fucking bollocks!
  20. It's definitely not just us No way this is just happening here.
  21. We've been here before, disappointment is always a hard pill to swallow and we've had our fair share over the years, recent years this would be the start of our usual capitulation and headlong tumble down the league, under a few managers, we have every right to be concerned. But we shouldn't be, we shouldn't be berating Rafa, tactics, subs, each other, he's already proven that he knows what he's doing, he won't get it right every week but he'll get it right often enough to see us win this league. Yesterday was demoralising but let's be honest, we were never going to win the cup, I'd be surprised if we even drew one of the semi final legs. I'm going for a professional display, nothing pretty and probably a narrow win but with a clean sheet, another Rafa masterclass.

    Matz Sels

What were our defenders doing for their goal man ? The whole team cost us the place, not just Sels. Everyone went to sleep and it's unforgiveable, but he is to blame for the goal going in. He nearly cost us a few times before that as well, he was lucky when he failed to come off his line the ball bounced kindly for him in that break away also. You are really being an arse if your using a lucky bounce against him. I'm not using the lucky bounce against him, I'm using the fact that he had plenty of time to get off his line and take away the danger before he got the lucky bounce.
  23. We should have buried them in normal time, should have been a goal up at least in the first half alone, we controlled the tempo, kept the ball and snuffed out most of the danger. Hull pretty much played with the intention of taking it to penalties for 120 minutes and we couldn't get through. I thought we played well enough, just lacked a real finisher on the pitch and a lot of the final third play was sloppy. Ultimately Sels will take the brunt of the result due to bad, nervous goalkeeping at a crucial moment.

  25. I think he pulled a few punches there but at least someone in the mainstream media is calling him out on the "I" "We" interviews that he does.
