  1. We ain't making the final, we'll be home before the quarters and well rested
  2. I'd like to think my opening comment cemented this round
  3. Been thinking about this, I think if we get one of the big teams in the next round at home then we stand a good chance of causing an upset, but then that would mean we'd have to beat one of the others on the way/in the final. Be it Man City, Liverpool or Man u (dependent upon tonight's result), we'll have to play 2 or 3 of them to win the thing. If we let them knock each other out then the closer we get to the final the stronger the team we face when we do come up against them. Tough one to call.
  4. Villa win tonight, Liverpool v City next round please ??
  5. How are they going to play their usual low block with no Zaha for outlet? We'll find it tough to break them down with the team we've put out, basically all on ASM this.
  6. I've stood by Miggy through everything, his tenacity and work rate showed there was always a better player in there than was wasted under Bruce. However, I could never have predicted this, he's on a completely other level. I would have snapped your hand off at a Diaby in the summer, even just to have Miggys pace from the bench against tired legs, right now no one could dislodge him from that starting place and long may it continue. Absolutely deserved GOTM and POTM.
  7. Such a stupid thought process by Freddie too, the players are the problem, no respect so let's bring in someone hard and shouty.
  8. Just finished, what a guy, you can't help but wish the bloke all the success in the world. I really hope he's here for a very long time and achieves the success he deserves with us.

Just wait until we actually win something, they'll be throwing themselves off the closest bridge

  11. Good job we've got options from the bench this week.
  12. The only solice I'm taking in this at the moment is the fact we've started sloppy in the last few games and turned it up several gears later on/2nd half
  13. There is a feeling of inevitability, there's only so much they could ignore, discount or belittle us. Thanks to Howe that's come much quicker than anyone would have imagined. As for the game, it is preceded by the usual trepidation, however I am confident that Howe will have the team well drilled for the game and will be able to tweak any in game issues caused by their plan or specific players.
  14. Can't pick a favourite, Trippier was the catalyst for change, a true leader on the pitch, Bruno is the Rolls Royce of players would walk into any midfield in the country right now, big Joe and Almiron are the rags to riches story from hated to loved purely off their own backs they've flipped their game on its head, Pope has been a revelation in goal, Burn, Schar and Botman have been mean in defence, best in the league, not to mention sexy Schar's sexy passing and Wilson is a game changer. How can you possibly choose from that? That being said, gun to head, I can only narrow it down to 2, Bruno because he's by far the most complete and elite player on the pitch and Almiron because he's not just proven his doubters wrong, he's dropped his keggs and took an almighty dump on them from a great height.
  15. I thought that as soon as he hit it, looked like it took a slight deflection on its way through, but he hit it clean enough anyway.
