  1. It's not like we go in there and discuss all their weaknesses and players after match and no other thread is bumped though, it doesn't dominate the forum.
  2. Just watched last night's MOTD 2, my days what horrific coverage! Our game 90% post match talk about Manchester Reds, Ipswich game 95% talk about Chelsea, Wolves game 100% of the after game talk is about Spurs, not one mention of how good Wolves were. Sickening bias for flailing, has-been teams.
  3. Since March they've won at home against Villa 4-1 Ipswich Town 1-0 Brighton 2-1, won away at Fulham 3-0, drawn with Southampton 1-1 and lost to City 5-2 They're hardly in some rich vein of form, it probably will be a harder game than Man Utd but I'm still expecting a win at home to these.
  4. Thought we were the better team for most of that, trust them to score when our tails are up and make the game go a little flat again. Their goal was frustrating because we allowed Garnacho to drift out to the right unmarked. Hopefully we can wake up again 2nd half and take our chances because they will come again. Gordon needs to come on soon.
  5. Good set of results for us there, now we've got to take our chance and get into 3rd before anyone else plays again.
  6. The Man City game was perhaps the most boring game of the season and Lyon were poor but still managed to claw a draw after going 2-1 down in the 88th. Truth is Man Utd are not very good at all and if we play to our ability, at home, the 3 points are ours. They will park the bus and try and hit us on the break, we just need to break them down.
  7. Oof mountain to climb for RM now
  8. My confliction also, we need an English club to win a quarter final for that 5th spot and RMA are a bunch of cheats, but I cannot stand Arsenal supporters, ah well!
  9. Two quality goals by Rice that, 2 pearlers of free kicks!
  10. A nice Southampton win to clear the decks please
  11. Isak will be desperate to play and get his goal tally up, but I wouldn't be adverse to starting him on the bench and let Osula loose on that dodgy back line of theirs. If we need a goal late on, then let Isak put his boots on, personally think we need him more in our following 2 games.
  12. It feels like the whole league is about to go up in flames, let's hope Masters is collateral damage, we need financial regulation but let's do it to the benefit of every team in the league, get rid of the lickspittles in charge and get some common sense in their place.
  13. You know what, reading through that is just sad, no one should feel that way about their football team, the rest of the week with life, work and all the other crap and this is supposed to be their escape. We've been there far too much with the likes of Ashley and apathy towards your own team is not a place I'd wish for anyone to go, it's soul destroying. Having said that, I hope we get a hat full.
  14. Crap result for us but ultimately with Chelsea to play at home and a game in hand it's totally in our control to finish above them. Spurs have a smattering of talent within their squad but with the loss of one of the best finishers in the world and an aging Son, this season was always going to be a difficult transition. I don't think it's entirely Postecoglu's fault, but his kamikaze style football and stubbornness to change is a key factor. There are bigger issues than the manager and the squad though and I think Spurs and Man Utd will have a number of years in midtable mediocrity. It's up to us, Villa, Bournemouth(?) and Brighton to break into that "top 6" permanently now, only really now City, Liverpool and Arsenal that are worthy of the top 6 title and we've shown we can beat them all on our day.
  15. Murphy assist, Isak goal has happened 7 times in the PL this season, making them the leagues most dangerous duo. Only Beardsley and Cole have combined for more in the top flight (9 in 93/94) for us, can they beat that record?
  16. He looks done now, proper waste of a shirt number
  17. It all felt discombobulated at times, maybe a bit of a cup hangover going on? Isak was off the boil, thought Tonali, Livramento and Barnes were the stand out players, everyone else was a bit meh. Having said that, we looked dominant for the most part, I think 2-1 flattered them a little and bar their little flurry of pressure at the end they didn't really bother us that much. It's a great 3 points, against a very well organised team with some dangerous players on the back of a 5 game away win streak.
  18. Soft pen that tbh Brentford don't deserve anything from this.
  19. Isak having a stinker by his standards yet still scores, he's immense! Thought we were dominant and could easily be 2 or 3 up by now, Brentford for the most part have been well organised and kept us at arms length for most of the game. Still think there's a couple more goals in this one and not worried at all.
  20. Ultimately Isak will do what's best for Isak and why shouldn't he? Right now he's happy here and he's getting what he wants but if someone comes in with the right money and offers him better terms than us and greater ability to earn silverware then why shouldn't he go? Any talk of swap deals and make weights is jokes though, like why would we lose our best asset and not even gain any PSR headroom from it the sale? Makes literally no sense for the club. For now, he's ours and the longer we can keep him and match his ability with wages and progress on the pitch and in the squad, the better chance we have of keeping him.

Yeah, tantric sting can do one but I bet Don't Stand would be a Mackem hit if they could claim him, it's a literal lifestyle for that lot.
