Not that it matters at all but Isak in his career apart from International is a goal every 2.58 games and Martial is a goal every 3.7 games. If we include Martial’s brilliant strike rate of a goal every 15 caps for France it gets even worse.

I am a bit surprised by how little Targett has been used since he's been back from injury, even the odd 10 minutes here and there haven't really happened. I don't know if there's any underlying issues with him but it does seems to have been a totally lost season given how well he did in the last 6 months last year.

From a commercial side of things I wouldn't think we would be signing 1 year contracts with sponsors, they'll be longish term & we'll be able to say this is fair market value because we're in the Champions League, if we then don't qualify the following season those sponsorship deals are already in place. It's not like existing contracts would need to be lowered, they would be signed for the maximum value we can extract at the time. We can fiddle the market in that way, if we don't get Champions League this season it might only be short term deals that we sign so these can be revisited earlier.

Champions League qualification basically enables us to say bye bye to FFP restrictions with all the new revenue streams we can invent plus other legit income.

Because then the overall ability level of players isn't comparable. The non-league player is better by far at a number of different metrics.
