Anyone know who else his agent has on their books? It sounds like a case of them having an unknown youngster shot to near stardom and them trying to milk it for everything.

The Pope deal is probably a really easy deal to do due to Burnley's relegation, they'll be wanting him off their wages and he's possibly got a release clause due to the relegation. Perhaps the ease of the deal means it's being done first before the laborious deals for the outfield players without clauses.

Would have to think he's competing with Henderson (assuming he goes to Forest) for the 3rd goalkeeper spot at the World Cup so he'll be wanting to come here and play. If he stayed at Burnley and was playing every week you would think he would still have a good chance at being in the squad.

Yeah I meant that Dyche wouldn't be too keen on a goalkeeper trying to play out.

Any actually evidence that he's awful with his feet? I can't imagine Dyche was too keen on that.

He'll get a good round of applause when he's unveiled by Mauriss prior to the Atalanta friendly.

The players don't report back for pre-season testing until 1st July and then proper pre-season will probably be the week after that.

New promoted teams either seem to win or get absolutely hammered on the first day.

I could be totally wrong here but I thought I had read that the FFP hit is spread over the term of their initial contract? So a £30m signed on a 3 year contract has the same FFP hit as a £60m player signed on an initial 6 year contract.

Nketiah could have a bit of Daniel Sturbridge about him where he wasn’t really getting an opportunity until his early 20s and took a loan move to get him going. Nketiah’s record for the England U21s is pretty impressive.
