I could have made up some names if that would have made it better but when you only have a small number of actual names to pick from it's a bit tricky to come up with something new.

If only Ken Bates was stick kicking around at Leeds, imagine his reaction at the phonecall when someone puts a £6m bid in for McCormack, defibrillators at the ready.
-
Surely it's easy to see the difference in Wickham when he was bought and McCormack now. Age, potential, nationality are all of what Wickham had on his side that inflated his transfer fee.

He was top scorer in the Championship last year, and is British, and so £6 to £8 million would be about what you'd expect to pay nowadays, yes. This is just reality, because typically anything British comes at a greater cost. It's really not. He's soon to be 28 and the season before last he scored single figures, he has very little chance of improving as a player and Leeds are in a financial crisis. I think they would take anything around £3m for him and possibly even less.

So do I. Some of the crap being spouted on here is ridiculous. There have been numerous players that have played for both teams and done well. What was he supposed to have done when 16? Refused to take a shot at being a pro because it was Sunderland? Behave. Who has played for both and done well? Anyone from the last 30 years? Our first permanent signing in 18 months is an out of contract mackem who is, at best, average. Bracewell, Venison & Clark all within the last 20 years or so.

*NEWCASTLE TO SIGN WORLD CUP STAR* Clubcall headline, you waste £50 to realise it's Shola making a return.

no bid key - sounds about right.

Looks like he's had a few Guinness'.

Proper Guinness belly.

Rakitic to Atletico seems to be going to happen.

Well partly, but everyone is a product of their environment as well. I just think it's silly to have nearly every shop and food company dedicated to selling us infinite qualities of bad food, then somehow acting like it's a surprise that everyone's fat. What will those with the ability to self manage a healthy weight/lifestyle receive?

The only downside to the move for Lambert is that he's likely not to start every week. I'm sure at his age and from where his career started he would take any champions league opportunity especially for the team that he supports.
-
over half an hour since Sewelly posted this and nobody has made a pun about his name yet? unusual level of restraint on the s***-pun front here. Pretty surprised tbh. Didn't expect him to move.

what a prick taking the piss out of colo.
-
If you just count the two games against the All Whites, they qualified at a canter. Didn't even need to use their overseas players or anything. Vela and the rest are more interested in the poon.
-
Clearly too busy getting sucked off. Have a look at the protest section and the chronicle front page.

So he played 10 games for them in the league last year and they've gave him a 4 year contract, I thought they were going away from those type of deals.

We didn't start the fire.........

It's weak because they are to Nike as Leyton Orient are to Nike, they get template kits that you can buy for your sunday league team.

Pardew wants looked at for letting Remy get away with it, we had no chance of getting him a permanent deal yet Pardew has let him dictate his terms.
-
I'd have him here in a heartbeat under a different manager.
