Agree with this 100%. Silva was a good player last year, but this season he's been superb. Am hoping that Cabaye and HBA are having their 'bedding in' season this year and will look to kick on next. Certainly ought to play further up the pitch mind.

Has had any decent games in midfield? Man Yoo is the only one I can think of. Doesn't carry any threat whatsoever in an attacking sense aside from striking a ball well

I like Pardew and I'm desperate for him to succeed, but if he can't see that we're a far better side when attacking from the off then he's not doing himself any favours. That first half was shocking - needs to get us going before the Arse game, especially with their comical defending of late.

Pardew needs to give them the freedom to play like that from the off. Slow start cost is dearly.

We were tremendous, haven't seen us play that well for a long time. Mind you we did beat Holland 3-2 in our last qualifier without Zlatan, who was magnificent last night again. From the Milan games that I've seen this season, Zlatan's been top notch.
