Stupid idea. It'll mean inflated transfer fees for English players, even if they're shit, as there'll be a requirement to have more of them in a squad to compliment the rule. Then, for those clubs that can't afford these fee's, and have, say only 11 English players in their squad (6 of which have to be on the pitch) they'll be forced into throwing in academy players as backup, who obviously will have no/little experience. The PL would also lose the unofficial title of the best league in the world, as foreign players would be fed up of having to compete for 5 places within a starting XI (see Arsenal).

If its true, good to see Wise and Jimenez being able to bring money into the club, as well as going out and looking to spend it. Hopefully gone are the days when we spend big, and claw very little back.
