  1. I guess I'm mark one. But I wouldn't say I'm a bandwagon jumper. I could've been born during the Gullit days and I'd still have grown up a mag, the father wouldn't have allowed me to support anyone else! Although in the house I have a 1992 NUFC annual. I couldn't read the words, but I remember looking at the pictures of Ardilles, Quinn, Peacock and a rather youthful looking Steve Watson. I've still got it somewhere....
  2. He can appoint anyone he wants for all I care APART FROM COLEMAN OR BRINGING BACK LEE f****** CLARK!
  3. happy days. Fucking hate him. It's everyone elses fault but his own with him.
  4. yup. Please to god don't put the mongs on the TV. They've had enough coverage in the past week.
  5. he can attract Messi if you believe Sid Waddell on Talksport....
  6. If he can uncover another Sibierski then I'll be all made up on the appointment
  7. For me it is clear now where Mike Ashley is coming from. He has taken a massive gamble, but it is one from the heart. It is also a sly marketing move, but hey you'd expect that from him. I mentioned that to a few mates who didn't know where I was coming from. Ahh well....
  8. about time. It's taken nearly 3 fucking years. Sorry, but I've thought for a while now we should cut our losses with him and look elsewhere.
  9. This. Plus, those 2nd places were how long ago? exactly. He has one hell of a task on his hands. Expectations are going to be waaaay too high. The majority of people (not necessarily those on here) are going to expect him to get us in a similar position to where he left us. I'm not saying all Keegan-backers are like this, but I guarentee there will be some. And this attacking football business, if we honestly try to play like we did 11 years ago, we're facing relegation. The Arsenal team of 2008 would have totally raped the Newcastle team of 1996. Couldn't beat Birmingham last week. Seriously doubt it. You'd think some people on here want Keegan to fail, so they can tell us they told us so. The Birmingham team of last week had a better defence than 1996 NUFC. Darren f****** Peacock ffs. if birmingham city conceed less than 37 goals this season i will eat my own arse Ok Ok right you lot win. Sorry for being a bit edgy on all of it.

  11. I spent a week dreaming of Jose Mourinho outside the massive crest in the Milburn reception and that did a fuck lot of good!
  12. hopefully Keegan will kick the little fucker out along with all the other deadwood in that squad.

  14. this whole success malarky. I think a general point that can be made is that we've appointed a man whos success includes 2 2nd places in the Premier League. When we could have approached a World Cup winner and a FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Cup, Supercup, Community Shield winner to name but 2 people (Lippi and Houllier) and also van Gaals long list of success, I can't help but feel a little let down.
  15. I see where he's coming from tbh. Not sure where this appointment is going in the long run.
  16. not pissing on bonfires again, but erm, what do people think will happen with the Academy? Last time Keegan disbanded the youth set up...
  17. Think it's fair imo. Fed up with people calling the fans 'mongs' like. You and elbee a cut above like? I think it's fair to say there's a hardcore mongy section who manage to appear on Sky at every given soundbite opportunity. Am I a cut above them? Yes. *Not all the fans who've got what they wanted are mongs* - but there are a fair few that are and they tend to make a lot of bloody noise. Just to repeat that, just because you're happy with Keegan, doesn't make you a mong. I don't think anyone said that. Didn't mean to call everyone a mong, but as elbee says, those on SSN are the ones that all of us are perceived to be. I just honestly can't see out of all the names mentioned, that in any way, Keegan was the best choice.
  18. don't want to lower the optimism, but I never wanted the guy. I see the idea in the short-term, increase revenue, boost the fans etc etc etc Sceptical about how long he's been out of football and his tendency to walk when the going gets a little bit tough. All the managers listed and we go back with Keegan. Shrewd move by Ashley. He gave the fans (well in my opinion, the mongs) what they wanted, and its sure to increase ticket/season ticket sales. However I wanted a real tactican, and someone who knew the game the world over and had plenty of contacts. However the real piss-boiler in all of this is that Terry McDermott is sure to keep a job. That is fucking tragic. I'll get my coat 'cos I know that's going to have gone down like a lead balloon....
  19. probably 'cos he moaned (quite rightfully) that they'd sold his 2 best players. They don't care about the football side of things. Or he's the biggest earner at the Club. that too. Hope to god something like this never happens to NUFC.

  21. Yes No then. Regardless. I'm not having our club face jibes relating to that!
  22. Is Camacho the one with the infamous sweat patches?
  23. its probably Starburst I, or whatever "Captain Marky Mark" called his helicopter Or knobhead Owen's
  24. "investigated by tax officers in Turin according to a legal source" - Simon Thomas Anyone that speaks Italian, it's on Gazzetta Dello Sport's website.... http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Primo_Piano/2008/01_Gennaio/16/capelloindagato.shtml
