Mort is new Chairman - Shepherd leaves

Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea all have chairmen with no football experience when they took charge. was about to say that myself. Everyone has to start somewhere. -
Mort is new Chairman - Shepherd leaves

It's alright when they do a double page on an ex-player talking about his time with NUFC. Although arguably The Mag do a better job in their "Whey Aye man, he played for the Toon". -
Gonna try and go if I can negotiate the night off work like. Given up the season ticket due to uni commitments, so every away game is a bonus this season

Eh? How the f*** has that happened??????? The site profiles every player, just got to find the right number to find the player you want. 'Posters' have been doing it for about 18 months now, but we should all lighten and and start new threads with our findings. Ahhh right, cheers. Didn't believe it anyway like.

Been at work. Just heard the news. A beer is has just been cracked open in my house. Couldn't give a fuck if Mort has no/little experience as a chairman of a football club, I'm sure he'll find his feet and should look to give SA who he wants (within reason). Although Shepherd would back his managers, he made his mouth go far too much for my liking. -
Give a name of someone that fits that bill then. Someone that we've been linked with, and have a realistic chance of getting. And don't say Hyypia, because that one's dead.

a post on cockneylatic.co.uk..... Rav_No1 Posted on 24/7 15:57 Email this Message | Edit | Reply re: Baines -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- spoke to Baines in town today with pollit asked him if hes going he said no !

Sam's flapping man, going in now to hijack. Had he wanted Baines all along, you'd have thought a firm bid would have been made by now!

£3m would be good. Certainly an improvement on what we've had. I know theres certain people who hate the "its an improvement on Bramble" arguement, but we aren't going to be able to attract really big names until we're in Europe at least, never mind the Champions League. Should be better than Gooch, Bramble and Moore - 3 from last season, which would suggest he would have walked into our team then. For £3m, from me.
-
Express say SA will make a decision on whether to bid for Shorey this week
-
your arguement is torn apart by I do remember them. IIRC, he missed 3 on the bounce at least
-
And Boro at home (March 2001 IIRC) How could I forget.....haha. Anyway, he's never "done a Martins" and knocked it 30ft over the bar
-
Nobby. Bar Wigan away, his penalties have always been spot on and tucked into the corner.

Alexis Sanchez - anyone seen this kid?

argh man, I still think he's worth a scout, regardless -

Bit of an over-generalisation there. All people from Ireland are in the IRA, you know. -
He's 18, he's Chilean and plays for Colo-Colo. He's an attacking midfielder/forward He's earned himself the nickname, "El Niño Maravilla" which means "the wonder kid". Apparantly he shone at the U20 World Cup, and was also wanted by the national team for the Copa America at the same time. I reckon he's worth having a scout watch, and perhaps followed up by a bid, maybe in January. At 18 he's a risk as he might not settle, but surely with Nobby guiding him, we could have our very own Cristiano Ronaldo. Youtube him and you'll see what I mean. He has incredible skill. I personally see this as a chance to bag ourselves a real gem, whether we need defenders or not.

the PLAYERS CAN READ? :frantic: :frantic: Can't spell though. I had Steven Taylor added on MySpace. Came across as being thick as fuck.
-
hang on, didn't someone or some people talk about Whelan not wanting to sell to either Ashley or Allardyce (I forget who). Did I mis-interpret that, as it was a joke, or is this true?
-
I think he would be a very average player once removed from the Man Utd team. £3m bid tops.
-
Just watched the interview on world from Sam following yesterday's friendly. He reckons N'Zogbia could arguably be the best left-back at the club following yesterday's performance...
-
Players that could (should?) have been great?

Richard Wright. Tipped to take over Seaman for both Arsenal and England -
Allardyce: Brede Hangeland not a player looked at

I read the People at work today on me break, and their description of this lad made him out to seem alright. Although when I looked at the picture, he looked about 21. Only when I read the article did I find out he's a bit older. In my opinion, for £2.3m or whatever it is, you can't really go wrong. Better than forking out £8m for a Jonny Foreigner that might not settle. If he is shit, we could probably palm him back off elsewhere without making to much of a loss (or none at all). I'm sure Sam's done his work on the bloke, so I personally trust him. Still would like to see Barzagli and/or Heinze here though. -
To be fair, five's coverage was so cheesy/cheap/rubbish it was good. It showed NUFC against joke teams, and provided us with commentators that were a joke. Notice how when ITV stepped in to cover our games, we got knocked out?
