  1. Where o where o where is Ashley where o where o where is Ashley where o where o where is Ashley, where can Ashley be? relating to his recluse-ness
  2. I only fear that he's wasting his talent. I think West Ham will be an interesting team to watch next season. They're going in for most of the players available and willing to pay silly money (Darren Bent for £17m). Then they've got Curbishley who I for one don't rate as a manager, and will probably fall out with half the team as he can't accomodate them. And finally unless success occurs they're going to face a financial loss 'cos there's no way I can see them claiming money back in gate receipts for that piddly little stadium. Newcastle the new Leeds? Nah, I think West Ham
  3. I dunno like, supposedly Abramovich won't spend unless they sell.... Not saying I'd go for him like, 'cos I couldn't bare Milner getting ousted after an excellent season for a Chelsea reject who thinks he can just walk into the team. Duff against N'Zogbia, anyone?

  5. having the apostrophe after the s signifies its the park belonging to St James (whoever he is/was/wasn't) Yes, I know, and James not being plural it requires a further s St James's. it has been written that way in some broadsheet newspapers if that consoles your anguish.

  8. I'l just go with that play on of Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" the smoggie wrote. "Mark Viduuuuuuuuukaaaaaaa......."
  9. Given's commitment, professionalism and the fact he's a long-serving player would get him my vote however I'm one who doesn't like the idea of a goalkeeper being captain as he isn't in the thick of the action (well he could be should the defence not get sorted!) and thus can't communicate with the whole team (ie. the strikers). Therefore the only option is Butt. Taylor is too young. Some might say the responsibility would bring him on a bit, but I believe it would hold him back for now.
  10. these photo's....isn't Barton supposedly in Dubai? They must have been taken before he f***** off there... It looks like the inside of our official club shop in Dubai. actually now I think about it, it's probably in the gym that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said via Alan Oliver that he saw Barton in

  12. You're managerless, Graeme Souness is jobless add 1 and 1 together and throw in a hefty contract......
  13. Still nowt on the official NUFC site like........... Although that's probably 'cos Craig Hope's eating the spaghetti hoops on toast his mam cooked him for his tea...
  14. We were under the cosh alot in the second half in that game. Could've easily been 2-2 or even 3-2 Blackburn. Was only 3-1 thanks to heroics from Given and stupidity from Friedel
  15. I'm going through and through and I really can't find a game we dominated completely.... even fuckin Lillestrom at home we were shaky!
  16. Just been watching some highlights of last season on Newcastle World and was wondering what people would consider to be our best performance (obviously including result) of last season. For me I think Spurs away wins it, followed closely by Man Utd at home - sums alot of things up that our second best was a draw at home like....
  17. Having another look, I could realistically see us being unbeaten up until the Spurs home game on October 20th... There's no reason any of the teams before that should be able to beat us, should SA have the team motivated, injury free and where he wants them
  18. When we went in Feb we got off the bus and started watching a Rugby game for a couple of minutes. Everyone was shouting "HANDBALL!" Not particularly original, but it pissed off the locals for a couple of minutes until we were bored and went to find the pub. that has been a good side to Wigan away the past two years actually. Especially nicking the ball. However the stadiums on a poor excuse for a retail park and the staff at the pub couldn't cope with the amount of fans in there. Roll on December 1st - Blackburn Away. That was class last season...
  19. TOUGH F*CKING SH!T I know its rubbish really. In addition, Tyneside police now request that we don't play Sunderland, Middlesborough or Man Utd, whoare pretty muc the only teams who havent blacklisted us. Thus we play away. If this is true, it's a disgrace. You shouldn't be able to pick and choose your fixtures like that. You play where you're told and if you've got Dynamo Mars away at 10 am on Boxing Day then tough f*cking luck - that's how it goes.
  20. I'm not going. I'm never setting foot in the JJB ever again after trecking down to the shithole that it is in the previous two games, expecting us to win comfortably only to see us underperform and get done over 1-0 Bloody horrible place, plastic stadium, with a piss poor support and those that do turn up are like a bunch of Monks and only cheer when the scoreboard tells them to. Horrible little Rugby loving town. The Pies at Wigan are nice but I'm not going to Wigan just to have a nice pie. Mine fell apart in the dish, it was that fucking hot
  21. They asked someone from the PL who makes the fixtures last night on SSN, "what would happen if the arbitration re-instated Sheff Utd - would they just take West Ham's fixtures or would the whole list be re-designed?" He refused to comment, but I suspect that we could see them change should it happen
