  2. Whoever it is, as long as they're from Newcastle, he has to mention it at every opportunity, like. Think every Carver-based article he's written refers to him as "the Geordie coach" somewhere in the opening two pars.
  3. Rob Scanlon ‏@RobScanlon_TV 4m4 minutes ago Steve McClaren has confirmed in his nufcTV interview with @dankingNUFC that he will appeal the red card today
  4. You don't think that wrongly being down to 10 men and a goal down is a legitimate excuse? As s*** as Sunderland are, that's a substantial handicap. Even then, we were still playing all the football until they grabbed a fluky second. We went onto the field with a substantial handicap. It's called non-investment and failure to address the real issues facing the squad in favour of prioritising short-term profit. Do you think Sunderland are a well-run club by comparison like? I'm not disagreeing with you, but they are just as rudderless, inept and apathetic at the top as we are. It was a match between two laughably run football clubs, decided on a whim by an awful call. As much as I dislike Ashley, the club's business model and all the rest of it, it can't explain every single defeat or s*** refereeing decision that comes our way. Six in a row is an incredible coincidence if there's not some underlying reason behind it. I don't think your being fair if you compare the previous six with this one like. I think the worst thing about those defeats was that we deserved them. Yes we lost 3-0 in the end but that was never happening without the red card. Which is why this one hurts. We for once seemed up for it and in control but completely shot ourselves in the foot with a moment of stupidity.
  5. It's been more than a year since we've been given penalty ? The last one i can remember was stoke two seasons ago. Old Trafford on Boxing Day.
  6. Steve Brenner ‏@SunSteveBrenner Imagine being called a peadophile by 5,000 people and then scoring to shut them up. The wonders of sport . bit of a weird tweet, that.
  7. We're massively reliant on Norwich and Bournemouth failing to win and one other club taking the last spot. Can't see us finishing any higher than 16th.
  8. Nerves have proper kicked in this morning. Straight across the road to ASDA at 10 for booze I reckon.
  9. Absolute given but they are so so so s*** saying that if they score first they win. We can be so so so shit on our day, though and that's what's worrying me.
  10. Got a minging feeling we'll be utterly complacent and start the game as if we're half asleep.
  11. It's staggering that so many broadcasters are keen to hand over money in exchange for his mundane thoughts.
  12. We've got Murphy rather than Mills on the English coverage.
  13. With any luck McClaren will soon see sense if he starts Tiote and drag him off at half-time at the earliest.
  14. Eagerly awaiting those quotes to reappear in about 18 months, only with Ranieri's name replaced by Maltese manager, Pietro Ghedin.
