My only real experience of a Friday night game was Cardiff back in the Championship. Back then though I was a third-year student so probably didn't get out of bed until mid-afternoon. Now I couldn't think of anything much worse than finishing a grueling 40 hour week at work then immediately having to drag myself to watch Mike Williamson for 90 minutes.

Think it's an excellent idea myself. Quite often watch the Championship match in that slot, great way to start the weekend. Nah. Saturday (and Sunday if absolutely necessary) is for football. More time to build up to it. I'm a complete traditionalist. We've already got games on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. No need for more football midweek and its just a nuisance for away fans.
