  1. at work til half 6. Gonna record it and somehow try and dodge hearing it from the others I work with and watch it when I get in as if its live. Sad I know, but more fun.
  2. I remember a commentator on 5live saying during the 2006 World Cup that the Angolan goalkeeper had no club, and had been keeping fit/training by kicking a ball off a wall outside his home and catching it. KSH and I have just done some research, and found this. His name is Joao Ricardo fucking brilliant if you ask me
  3. a bit of nostalgia from the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/8387529.stm 3 minutes 10. A lovely miss from a certain someone who played for us Also worth it for the bizarre choice of the star wars theme after France lift the world cup!
  4. this is just embarrassing now. Let it go man.
  5. saw it in one of the rags online yesterday he also re-iterated in the programme notes to understand where they were going with the name change. Don't buy programmes 'cos they're full of shit, so don't know what it said exactly.
  6. just looked at possibly going. Unfortunately the coach is the only likely option. All trains back mean leaving Plymouth at about 6, not getting back to Central until about 10 the following morning. Air Southwest's flights leave just before 3 o'clock! Went on the coach to the cup semi vs Manyoo in Cardiff and that was torture!
  7. tend to drink after the game rather than before. Usually something along the lines of... 11am - wake up 12.15-1pm - football focus 1.30 - stroll into town 1.45 - Goose/3 bulls/percy/hotspur (usually only 1 or 2 of them, not all) 2.30 - leave one of the pubs 2.40/2.45 - arrive at SJP Post-game - have a walk past pre-game pubs, if we're quick out SJP, back in, if not Luckies and Hancock.
  8. wouldn't bother me. Can easily get the train from Abbey Wood (near where me Auntie lives) to Deptford (think thats near the New Den)
  9. I drunkenly sent in a text to the FLS last night with our full address begging for some Steve Claridge signed merchandise. Oh my days.
  10. Exactly, why do people always fail to recognise this. Because it would be nice to hand out a real battering to someone and it would send out a message, If WBA can do it, then why can't we? This. I wouldn't have said we were huffing and puffing using up a ton of energy in the first half anyway.
  11. was quite funny when he got his first proper touches. Bombed down the line, lost it as it was played back to De Vries, harried him down, the ball was played to a Swansea centre half, chased him down, all at full sprint. He was like a little terrier.
  12. somewhat pissed off that in effect I paid full price for what was effectively 45 minutes of football. It still puzzles me why we run out of momentum after a good first half. The same happened against Peterborough. We were controlling the game with relative ease, restricting them to the odd through ball which was dealt with easily and poor pot-shots from outside the box. Nathan Dyer, their supposed danger man switched from the right to the left after having no luck whatsoever against Jose, who was helped out by Colo. Aside from that, Jonas still remains to me amazing at losing the ball, and Smith is never going to score for us, ever. If he can't finish from 6 yards with no-one around him he has no hope.
  13. not football related. But has anyone attempted to name 195 countries in 15 minutes?
  14. Supermac just either disagrees or goes against majority opinion for the sake of it.
  15. Don't knock it til you tried it, I always say. aren't you coming up today? Or did you post that from a phone? Wish I could but the with 2 new twins here, can't afford the flight Mind you, Saskatoon to Calgary to Toronto to Schipol to Newcastle would have probably meant leaving last Tuesday Didn't realise you were in Canada!

  18. ask why although his sisters were in the mood for dancing, he wasn't.
  19. Ketsy also wore 14 However so too did Wayne Quinn...
  20. Get him to do stereotypical scouse impressions for 10 minutes non-stop.
  21. There are going to be thousands of tickets on the blick market, even more so than usual I'd say. FYP.
  22. £1 on Everton, Fulham, Chelsea, Manyoo, Bayern, Real Madrid. Possible return of £19.85.
