If Chelsea are clearing down the fringes I doubt other clubs can match what some of them players are getting £££'s so Chelsea may have to sell some of there younger fringe players to help cut costs. If that was the case, I like Scott Sinclair has pace, can beat man, got 1st team games under his belt & would improve our RW spot. Ryan Bertrand has looked good the few times I have seen him play for Norwich at LB. There are a few others below Chelsea 1st team level that interest me as they went on a mad spree when Frank Arnsen 1st joined so English players of certain age are at Chelsea. Of course if ICON winner Carl Magnay was leaving I wouldn't mind us giving him trial as he was born in Birtley. I'm sure we've knocked him back before, then he went to Leeds IIRC. Off topic like, but I know his ex too.

JOE KINNEAR STAYING PUT Newcastle aim to keep manager, Chris Hughton and Colin Calderwood NEWCASTLE have put together a package to keep managerial team Joe Kinnear, Chris Hughton and Colin Calderwood at the club until 2011. Caretaker-boss Hughton has already signed a deal that will keep him at St James’ Park for the best part of another 2½ years. Kinnear still has the offer of a two-year deal on the table as he recovers from a triple heart bypass and now owner Mike Ashley wants Calderwood to stay beyond the end of the season. The former Nottingham Forest boss signed a short-term deal when he joined Kinnear’s staff but his role has increased greatly since Kinnear’s op. He will be offered a contract to match the length of Kinnear and Hughton. Toon bosses believe the three can turn around the club’s fortunes after a season of managerial upset. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/217431/JOE-KINNEAR-STAYING-PUT-Newcastle-move-to-keep-manager-Chris-Hughton-and-Colin-Calderwood.html

absolutely bricking it. Got c.1000 words to write for an essay before 2.55. Will have to read it back to myself later to make sure 'for fucks sake', 'fuck off phil brown you horrible orange prick', 'GET THE FUCK IN!!!' don't make subconscious appearances within. -
Yeah, we had a DH postcode when I was there, and still do. I have to admit, the sign telling me I was entering the borough of Gateshead was the first I'd heard that Saltwell Park was named 'Britain's Best Park'

If we go down, how will you watch us next season?

The prices won't change. They'll just say there's more games. bollocks. Can't wait to start working full time (queue people telling me I'll regret saying that etc). -
The majority of my mates are from Washington, and I know for their student loans, they have to sort it through sunderland town council (and so are all their other council-related things, such as bins etc etc), whereas me being from Chester-le-Street, I do mine through Durham City Council. So technically, Washington is sunderland in that respect, but their postcode (and I think its the same for all of Washington, is NE..), whereas hick town postcodes are SR. As for the whole "wheres Newcastle, wheres sunderland" debate, I know plenty of Mags from Washington, despite mackems claiming that its their territory. Also, on the SMB before the derby in October, there was a mackem bizarrely claiming Blaydon is mackem territory Furthermore I've been told I live in mackem territory loads of times (Duff11's probably had the same), despite going through school (primary especially) with far more Newcastle fans. Anyhow, I lived in Birtley until I was 4, which is Gateshead, and although the father was born in Durham, he lived in Chapel House/Walbottle from the age of 3, so I'm definitely no mackem! .....the mother is a cockney east end girl though!

Is it likely that the whole ST price structure will change if we go down? If so, I'll probably come back if it becomes more affordable. It was only ever the cost and being a student that made me give up at the end of 06/07 anyway. Just seems silly if they still think they'll keep fans, when we're in a lower division and ST's are still £450+. If they don't, I'll probably buy on a game-to-game basis where money allows. -
also interesting to see they've got Kiely modelling the keeper top, not Shay
-
Bwin do alot of games too I think.

Four. Park. On a plate.

3-0. Rooney

media speculation would have you believe that potential buyers are there. As I said a few posts up, if Ashley wants to limit the financial damage, he should lower his price and just sell, otherwise he'll continue to make a loss. Its so painstakingly obvious. To make money from a football club, they need to be successful. For Newcastle United to be successful, we need serious investment. If he's not prepared to do that then its his own fucking fault, and he deserves financial ruin from his own naivity and stupidity. (Hopefully not ruining NUFC in the process!)
-
I've still got this faint glimmer of hope that should we stay up, there will be some revived interest in the club. With Kinnear not accepting a longer contract/still not given the OK to return, it might finally be a head turner for Ashley that he really has fucked up and may consider cutting his losses before they become even greater and/or the fans turn on him once again.

If we say up we'll find ourselves in exactly the same position this time next year.

its a lad, mate!
