  1. yup. Well said. I've not budged from 1 either.
  2. JOSE: I WANT JOB IN ENGLAND Jose Mourinho has told close friends that he wants to quit Italy and return to the Premier League in the summer. Mourinho, whose Inter Milan side take on Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday, has privately confessed that he is not a big fan of Italian football. He has often been at war with the Italian media, despite Inter Milan set to finish as Serie A champions for the fourth season running. Mourinho says he misses life in England following his abrupt exit from Chelsea after a fall-out with Stamford Bridge owner Roman Abramovich in September 2007. This revelation is bound to encourage long-standing interest from both Manchester City and Newcastle United. City’s wealthy backer, Sheikh Mansour, has supported current boss Mark Hughes in the transfer market. But he would quickly switch his allegiance to ‘The Special One’ given any encouragement, while Newcastle owner Mike Ashley sounded out Mourinho before appointing Kevin Keegan 13 months ago. The job that Mourinho really wants back in England is to become Sir Alex Ferguson’s eventual successor. The onerous task of stepping into the Scot’s shoes at Old Trafford appeals to Mourinho’s great sense of adventure. But the ambitious Portuguese boss faces a wait, with Ferguson showing no signs of quitting despite 22 years at the helm. Some influential people within Old Trafford also see Mourinho as too maverick for their tastes. Mourinho, though, is loving being back in the English media spotlight as he prepares to pit his wits against Manchester United. It’s something he has badly missed and, according to close associates, is something he intends to put right having already sown the seeds that he would like to return to Chelsea one day. http://www.express.co.uk/football/view/85844/Jose-I-want-job-in-England-

(Mail on Sunday) Or, it was the fifth time Benitez has turned down a new deal and he claims he cannot work in the present structure at the club while co-owner George Gillett Jr and chief executive Rick Parry remain in power. (News of the World) New negotiations with Benitez will not start until after Liverpool's Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday - at the earliest. (Mail on Sunday) Benitez's failure to commit himself to the Reds has opened the door for another bid from Real Madrid to take him to the Bernabéu but Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested. (Sunday Express) Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho has told close friends he wants to return to the Premier League next season - alerting Newcastle and Manchester City. 4. no no, not the lounge...definately on grey st...name like the lounge The Lodge? What was once upon a time Johnny Ringo's? On Mosley St?
  5. If you're really into your hip-hop/R'n'B, and I mean really into, as in you know songs that aren't commercial (I'm not, therefore I don't!), pretentious posing, wanting to be noticed, holding your drink and not actually drinking it, then this is the place for you. With regards to Wullie calling it expensive, its not on a Monday night. that sounds EXACTLY like a little hovel of a trendy hip-hop club i ended up once in the toon...right at the bottom of grey street on the left, mostly a basement setup if i remember correctly worst night out of my life, ali g-esque asian lad in there sucking a choopa-chups, i walked out at that point laughable, really hope the toon ain't going that way...anyone know the name of it? got me stumped.
  6. Did it as a bairn before it got extended, it was alright then. Only one I've done in recent years was the free one you got when you bought that grey and navy blue away top from the SJP club shop in about 2003/04 I think. Was crap, didn't go pitchside or anything, basically saw the directors boxes and that was it.

  8. Which players? Andy Reid is the only one I got told, I'd imagine the rest were the 'usuals', Cisse, Jones etc...
  9. Buy your tickets game by game then, there will be plenty of seats next season. its what I have been/and will continue to do. Until I can afford a ST again, anyway.
  10. mackem players in Tiger Tiger last night again apparantly. Really can't understand why they'd come here for a night out. That 'city' whose team they play for has everything
  11. I know the club depend on ST sales to go towards transfers, but it always fucked me off when I had my ST that they'd ask you to commit weeks after the season had ended, when you had no fucking clue where the club was heading. At 15/16 years old, £460 was a hell of a lot of money (and in fairness still is!) and more often than not, you'd stump up, only to see us fail dismally in the transfer market, and sack our manager 5 games in. If they could somehow work out a deadline around late July/1st August or so, I think more would be likely to commit.
  12. when I was doing vox-pops for Century the other week, we purposely hung about the monument hoping to find and interview him. Alas I wasn't as fortunate as the owner of that video.
  13. I don't think that shirt is real, ladies and gentlemen! (thank fuck). At work last night, I got the unenviable job of stacking pop for a bit, happened to notice that barcode/inky splodge also appears on pepsi bottles, with the chance to collect prizes or points for something. Might just be a pepsi-designed top or something.
  14. My arse is too good to even consider wiping with that god awful England shirt.
  15. I'm like a kid in a toyshop. I want them all. I think we should get a big round table inside SJP (we'll phone up the Spurs ITK's to ask where they got theirs). They (Keegan aside) can put together all their ideas and outline a plan to bring back the players of yesteryear.
  16. I knew Susan reasonably well and she said that he supported us. A few people I know knew/know Justin, who claimed he didn't. No point keep going on about it anyway.
  17. http://www.bbc.co.uk/cymru/chwaraeon/safle/peldroed_wrecsam/images/brian_little203.jpg saw him milling about on matchdays at SJP quite a few times in the Robson era around 2001/2002, in the Milburn paddocks.
  18. They're playing against the best team in the world Europe. No disgrace at all being outclassed. FYP. They're ranked best in the world, I think that was his reason for saying it. I'd also take them to beat Brazil & Argentina anyway. So would I.
  19. He did support us but I think it was from a distance rather going to the match to watch us, I learned that from his sister who said that he would never play for us at any time and she was right. Ahh right. I was always told he didn't support us by a fair few people I knew, who knew his family.
  20. They're playing against the best team in the world Europe. No disgrace at all being outclassed. FYP. They're ranked best in the world, I think that was his reason for saying it.
  21. He was never interested in playing for us so I'd rather not, he's more plastic than Bruce ever was. c-l-s is orginally where I'm from, thats my only reason for saying it, and it was tongue in cheek. As far as I'm aware he didn't even support us.
  22. ahhhh Chester-le-Streets finest. Therefore I'm all for him. not.
  23. I've always found that argument laughable as f***. If I've arrived 10 minutes late, I'd like to know the score without having to ask people around me. - Don't turn up late. If somebody's scored while I'm off at the bathroom, I'd like to know as well. - This has happened to me, and it was the opposition who scored. I could still tell by the groans. The whole "if you can't pay attention you shouldn't be here!" thing has always seemed like one of the most ridiculous parts of the Geordie soopafan myth to me. Stadiums should have scoreboards. It's not tinpot it's common sense.
