Hopefully the Trust can buy him out in the near future. Yes thats not exactly a forgone conclusion, but hopefully. In the mean time you could say the reasons to act are: a) Not letting him get back into the comfort zone like the last time, the SJP farce deserves a response from a moral point of view. b) To put off any brands thinking of taking the stadium rights.

Stay standing for the first 20minutes (like the save our seats campaign) Protests outside the Milburn reception before the game from 1pm & after the game till 6pm. I can sort of understand people saying "dont have negativity/anomosity in the air before the game, it cant help the atmosphere in the ground", if thats the case, just make sure your there after the game.

Stay behind afterwards.

A rational reason to protest? If the papers cover it the next day, with headline of "fans protest over SJP name branding" then at the end of the day, brands who are out there potentially looking at this and thinking about taking up the rights would probably have doubts. Whether those would be massive doubts, a small doubts, whatever, Im sure there would be some doubts there due to fear of the whole thing bieng counter-productive. "Well its going to be sports direct then"... yes, fair enough, but when he is gone, that name is gone. If someone takes over the club, they might not cut off the sponser of another company. Also, in a weird way, having it sports direct until hes gone feels more 'unofficial' as oppose to a brand name that orignally had no connection with the club.

"Nothing more than an exercise in public relations." “The Club admitted to the Tribunal that it repeatedly and intentionally misled the press, public and the fans of Newcastle United."

All I'm saying WBCP is that you should deem this as a valid means of making money. Arsenal's example is a million miles away from our situatuion though. There stadium was newly built and hadn't been known as anything other than the Emirates. It's not like they changed the name of Highbury for a wedge of cash is it? 3m a year before the credit crunch - now companies will be more cautious, plus the fact that SJP will still be in the title, you wouldnt think someone will be wanting to offer bucket loads for it would you?
-
Why should we believe Llambias? Why should we trust that it wont become the Sports Direct Stadium, with the SJP writing tucked away somewhere? "nothing more than an exercise in public relations." & "NUFC admitted they purposely & continuously mislead the media & fans "

Sounds good. Think calling him a FCB would be an own goal and alienate us from the rest of the country, so I think its important new songs are made up for this. Someone else mentioned to the tune of 'Ketsbia My Lord': St. James' always, St. James' St. James' always, St. James' St. James' always, St. James' Always St. James' Park Winter wonderland: Mike Ashley are you listenin Drop your pies & f*cuking listen Your not wanted here, get your fat arse in gear Drive back down the way you came here or something like that That's really good, last line needs changing though. Much better than the fat cockney b****** one, which is frankly cringe worthy as f***. End line: You'll never defeat Geordieland? Mike Ashley are you listenin Drop your pies & f*cking listen Your not wanted here, get your fat arse in gear Leave us/F*ck off and you'll hear a massive cheer Mike Ashley are you listenin Drop your pies & f*cking listen Your not wanted here, get your fat arse in gear Pack your bags & f*cking disappear ? i like the last one Mike Ashley are you listenin Drop your pies & f*cking listen Your not wanted here, get your fat arse in gear Pack your bags & f*cking disappear Nice1, I'd hate for the protests on saturday to be messed up by having 'geordies hate cockneys' stuff all over the media the next day, itd be an own goal.

That's what I keep thinking these days. I am surprised there's NO organised and proper protest yet after the guy cost us relegation since May. I mean a protest which could bring the attention of the club and forced to do something for the sake of the fans. So how big is Newcastle United? You can't keep saying about this. Local fans got to show it, and Liverpool fans have done it successfully, from what we have all seen from the start to the end. I am not talking about who's to blame for the relegation or what effects would a protest brings to the game, what I am trying to say is the emotion and action taken by the different fans from different clubs. Theres a massively big difference between the mentality of our players and those of liverpool. They're not comparable situations. Everything from the managers ability to motivate, to the players current level of self belief & confidence, to the likelyhood of our players underperforming and getting crap for it in comparison to theirs, levels of determination, the captains ability to influence the others into performing better, the amount of experience the players have, the number of players who are individually able to turn around games. You can keep going. Even if they were even slightly effected they have more than enough about to them to be able to completely disregard it one way or another, we dont. Not to say that if we protest the entire side will fall apart in an instant, theres more to it than that obviously. Results are always going to do more for confidence than most other things. I just dont see it as being helpful if we start underperforming & it could easily start a snowball effect of negativity if the mentality of complaining spreads to quickly. Negativity is never beneficial in any form & it gets around quickly. I think if a protest happened after the game, that would be ok, and it needs to be spread that it is after the game.

Surley banners saying something like: Attention Potential Brands - Stay away or you will be boycotted Would serve a purpose if all over the papers?
-
Lets try and get things organised then. Have you let your feelings known to NUST? or NUFC.com etc, people who could get the ball rolling in terms of organisation?

A boycott should be organised imo. Enough is enough, we've been here before.
-
That 20m crap is just to try and put him in a good light. Of couse he's putting money into the club, he owns it, he has to to keep it going.
-
Disgraceful, sick news. Almost lost for words with pure rage, the fans have to do something now.
-
Did Alan Smith get sent off and miss the final 3 games of the season ? Aye people did over-look that Smith's tackle was reckless, and Smith should have came under scrunity even if the ref done nothing.

press association ain't exactly bullshitters But they will be being fed by the same sources as the Times, Mirror etc.... and usually thats not from the ashley point of view as simon bird and caulkin are both harsh critics of him. Ashley slanted "exclusives" tend to appear in the news of the world and the sun (see llambias interview during summer, what keegan was suing for recently in the sun, keegans "wish list" in notw last year you being serious? you reference the 2 national journalists who actually like Newcastle as a club and say therefore the press association won't be fed Ashley's bollocks and are you being serious with the outcome of the keegan case showing them as a bunch of liars that any press organisation with a shred of dignity would take anything that comes from the ashley regime as anything other than a bunch of self serving lies Skysports gave the man at the centre of it all the chance to "give his side of the story" without the slightest bit of interrogation, not sure I can hold the press association in any higher regard. After all a source is a source to them, at least its better than making them up as many of the papers seem to. skysports are just interested in getting more viewers on and with keegan haven given his side on espn they may have felt they needed to match that by getting wise to give his side The disgusting thing about that, was that the facts were out in the public domain. They talked to Wise, even laughed about what had went on, under a context that suggested the facts wernt out there. Slimy, soul-less arseholes.

Keegan vs Ashley and Co case settled - KK awarded 2m

Keegan says he was verbally told at the meeting he'd have final say. Ashley denied it. Believe who you want. -

The thing is about that - remember what every talks about with Man U, and what we need? That seige mentality. Bring it all on if people are blinded by media spin, brilliant, because if its us against the world we would have that seige mentality that would work for us, just like Man U. 'know likes us, we dont care, because what we do on the pitch speaks for itself'. That would very much apply. -

Becuase when he was forced out, everyone was chuffed he was here and had confidence in him carrying on doing what was a good job. The only thing that has changed since then and now regarding KK is that its a fact he was stitched up. Why should peoples opinion of him be any different now, then it was last year? -
This. However many posts from HTT etc keep the romantic toss rolling, it remains just that. Sentimental bollocks. Saying its 'just sentimental bollocks' is narrow-minded and bollocks itself.
