If, by any chance, Mike Ashley decides to appoint Carver on a permanent basis, then that is it for me. THAT is how little patient and trust I have left in this regime.

Really happy Newcastle survived and will be present in the EPL next season. That being said, I too, will raise my hands and admit I've said some incredibly stupid stuff. Especially over the course of this horrible, horrible season. After years and years of Mike Ashley, this season he's actually managed to drive me away from the club. I decided not to renew my EPL subscription when it expired on the 21th of may. I had to pay for another full month, so it wasn't the best deal anyway. I fear next season will be a straight relegation for Newcastle, unless a miracle happen.

I'd take Laudraup. But unless Ashley does a 180, it really doesn't matter who gets the job.

Newcastle - West Ham 1-3 Hull - Man Utd 1-1

This. Picture. Love it! Sums everything up perfectly. This is why teams like Newcastle should get relegated.

Because we think we're gonna win the league every year, will get Klopp as manager and sign Messi next season Are you trying to tell me that we are not appointing Klopp, signing Messi and winning the league next year

Would be best in the EPL with this fella in charge

To think the shit served under this regime might, just might, extend to yet another season in the EPL is.... :anguish: :anguish: Ashley does not deserve more chances...
-
The first NUFC match I have watched for months... what a sad display of...... "football".
-
Sorry, but who is claiming he is considering selling the club? afaik, it has not been put up for sale...

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.

Well, that's it then. I'm actually cheering for, and welcoming, a relegation for Newcastle.

Yep Carver and crew are on peanuts, it won't cost much at all to get rid of them. I think it's gone way beyond "he won't pay them off because it'll cost him loads" and it's now "he's got no choice but to make a change as it'll cost him circa £80m if he does nothing" I've come to the point where I actually don't care anymore. I'd happily sit and watch Newcastle rot down to Vanarama Conference League as long as Mike Ashley remains the owner. Unfortunately, Newcastle United ceased being a football club the moment Mike Ashley bought it, and those who sold it to him - and knew about his plans - I wish them all the worst as well. The only thing that would get me back is if Mike Ashley sells the club. Then, and only then, do I hope Newcastle avoid relegation this season.
-
True. If Newcastle stay up it will only be more of the same. That is, next season will be pretty much the same, except relegation is almost a certainty. Relegation for an immediate promotion is not what you want either, because it will most certainly just be the start of a new "rinse and repeat" for Ashley.
-
I'm very happy to see Ashley get just what he deserves. Hope this is the start of a very steep hill downward for him in every possible way.
-
Why don't Ashley manage the team himself? 1) He gets someone he likes 2) He's cheap (actually free) 3) He'll spout lies without hesitation 4) Continue the proud tradition of having clueless garbage as head coach ... the list could go one forever.
-
YES! This is happening -woop woop ! Welll-deserved.

Indifferent as to whether Newcastle gets relegated or survive. This doesn't feel like a club anymore. It hasn't felt like a club for a very very very long time. Survival or relegation, as long as Ashley is determined to keep the club, it really doesn't matter where Newcastle is playing.
-
Solid performance... as always. By, undoubtly, the most shit team in EPL combined with the least ambitious owner. Part of me actually feel sorry for the teams below us on the table.
-
Hopefully we will lose with a score smiliar to a basketball match between a pro NBA side and a "non-exsisting" amateur side. Seriously tempted to place a bet with a starting handicap of 0-3 or possibly 0-4.
-
Doesn't matter who they bring in, we can go without a manager for all I care (that thought might entertain Mike Ashley, money saved ). Unless there is a change in ownership, nothing else matters.

Sorry, but these are the worst threads to start on the back of (yet another) derby defeat. 100% of the people that log on this forum (as a member), do so for a reason? You can probably be 99% done with the club, and I think most forum members were - long before this game. The ones you should be questioning, are those who attend the games and continue to renew their STs. If you can't force Ashley out, it is beyond me why you keep bothering yourself fighting for something that's long lost. Don't blame Carver, you know you'd take the job too if you got the chance, even if you knew you weren't up for it. Channel your fury at Mike Ashley and those that turns up, and actually pays for this shit to go on.
