How the premier league can say with a straight face that there's no bias towards the so called big six wankers is laughable. Actually no it's disgusting. It makes me think that the premier league know that at the minute those six clubs have the biggest support worldwide, and in their small and self preserving minds they think that if their darling clubs are knocked off their perch then the global brand will suffer. Only thing I can think of as nothing is ever done about this blatant corruption.

The more noise there is about it makes me think the premier league will make some watered down changes before a challenge in court happens. Just enough to cloud the waters of a challenge, but not enough to upset the cartel and at very least slow down any threat to them.

While every article in the press like this is a very small step forward, I do believe it's going to take a club to challenge ffp before anything will be done. The premier league won't want to upset the "big" clubs unless their hands are tied.

Haven't read through the thread so probably been mentioned before but Southgate is totally just a younger, more media friendly Bruce. They both have no clue with tactics and rely heavily on individual moments, more so than the average manager. I don't care what anyone says, with the players at his disposal we should be playing so much better. He constantly picks his favourites regardless of form (or where they play).

After the Dean revelations i think the quickest solution would be to give the two clubs involved in the match a full audio recording of everything said between all officials including VAR ones. That way anything dubious could be questioned and they would have the proof to back up any complaints.

The thing that annoys me is the amount of leyway that is given to goalkeepers. The officials need to forget who's involved in the incident and where it's taken place. It should always be judged on "if this was two midfielders in the centre circle 30 minutes into the game... Would it be a freekick?" And then take the appropriate action ie. a penalty/freekick/red card. I know other things will come into play as in last man or whatever but the actual awarding of the freekick/penalty should be based on this.

Not sure about Maddison not fitting our style argument... Let's be honest he's no slower than Longstaff or Bruno and they fit in quite well with it. I wouldn't have believed this time last season even that we would be seeing the players Bruce had playing the way they are now. Whilst I agree with you that I wouldn’t want us in any way to be involved with dodgy deals, I would want is to be able to get the best deals we can in line with what other premier league clubs are getting. None of this “we don’t think that’s a fair representation of what you should be getting “ by the premier league (after been told by the so called big clubs how much we’re allowed ). We are all in the same competition and should therefore all be allowed to maximise our revenues the same as any other club in that same competition. If Liverpool/Man City etc are allowed to have sponser for £50m a season, why aren’t we? Surely it goes against anti competition laws.

Personally I wouldn’t like anything that was @St. James’ Park. It reminds me too much of @ sports direct arena and also the name of the ground should be more prevalent. I would prefer St. James’ Park sponsored by……… or something like that.
