After the Dean revelations i think the quickest solution would be to give the two clubs involved in the match a full audio recording of everything said between all officials including VAR ones. That way anything dubious could be questioned and they would have the proof to back up any complaints.

The thing that annoys me is the amount of leyway that is given to goalkeepers. The officials need to forget who's involved in the incident and where it's taken place. It should always be judged on "if this was two midfielders in the centre circle 30 minutes into the game... Would it be a freekick?" And then take the appropriate action ie. a penalty/freekick/red card. I know other things will come into play as in last man or whatever but the actual awarding of the freekick/penalty should be based on this.

Not sure about Maddison not fitting our style argument... Let's be honest he's no slower than Longstaff or Bruno and they fit in quite well with it. I wouldn't have believed this time last season even that we would be seeing the players Bruce had playing the way they are now. It might take a little bit to adjust but I think he could fit in if he has the right attitude and desire to play like the rest of the team.

Whilst I agree with you that I wouldn’t want us in any way to be involved with dodgy deals, I would want is to be able to get the best deals we can in line with what other premier league clubs are getting. None of this “we don’t think that’s a fair representation of what you should be getting “ by the premier league (after been told by the so called big clubs how much we’re allowed ). We are all in the same competition and should therefore all be allowed to maximise our revenues the same as any other club in that same competition. If Liverpool/Man City etc are allowed to have sponser for £50m a season, why aren’t we? Surely it goes against anti competition laws.

Personally I wouldn’t like anything that was @St. James’ Park. It reminds me too much of @ sports direct arena and also the name of the ground should be more prevalent. I would prefer St. James’ Park sponsored by……… or something like that.

To be fair I would have played longstaff as the deepest midfielder, which would allow Bruno to play more forward like he did last season. Plus Willock is a much better option from the bench later in the game than longstaff is.

Another thing that hasn’t been mentioned is how no Palace player protested about the goal. Normally there would be a crowd of players surrounding the referee.

The only thing I can't understand is if we are playing with Wood who is, should we say limited in his approach, then surely we should play with St Max on the right and Miggy on the left so they can ship first time crosses in. Playing with these popular inverted wingers is all well and good if you have quick intelligent forwards darting about in the box looking for a through ball or creating space for the winger to shoot, but not so good when you have a fairly immobile target man being marked out the game due to his lack of movement.
