  1. also gives us longer to get replacements in.
  2. i say wait til the euros finish. he might play a blinder and we can make some serious £££
  3. He (reportedly!) told the players he was known as 'Mad Dog', which had the players laughing at him immediately, and he stormed out when they all started barking and growling at him, which if you picture the scene was probably pretty funny. stroppy git then really
  4. id take him if hes a squad filler- we need squad fillers our squad is small. just because we havent signed any big names yet doesnt mean this guy will be the pinnacle of our signings this summer.
  5. top 10 should be do able. the huge challenge is above that. i mean look at spurs everton aston villa man city blackburn portsmouth west ham all of whom in my opinion have better overall squads than ours at the moment (west ham is arguable). we can get top 10 by bringing in 1 or 2 good players. to get top 6, itll be a lot harder and to be honest, at a game like aston villa vs portsmouth, you could see the result go either way. its highly competetive outisde the top 4.
  6. based on youtube alone, he looks like a player who can take the ball round people very well, with a bit of pace and power as well. looks good for £3 million, looks good in the video but partly because of the dross around him. looks like he sets up a few goals as well, which idiots have just blasted over after his good work. ill be very happy if keegan signs him for £2.75m
  7. from the games ive been to (this is general sale) arsenal £32 spurs £38 chelsea £48 fulham £35 west ham £36 newcastle £40 (although not shoved in crap seats) crystal palace £30 millwall £25 charlton £10 that quite surpised me because arsenals is the cheapest and its the newest stadium
  8. hahaha, brilliant stuff! Cole did have a couple of decisions for corners not go his way, but he looked so funny when he lost it that time. http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/4640/mastercardtd5.th.jpg http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/3660/terrycryxx0.th.jpg

  12. played some really impressing football. Newcastle- Doncaster 2009/2010 for gods sake what is it with people saying we will get relegated. and i wonder about the negativity sometimes
  13. well blatantly get drawn away to someone like millwall in the cup as well
  14. hope: steve mc claren most likely: rijkaard
  15. Frank Rijkaard 15/8 Gus Hiddink 5 /1 Roberto Mancini 7 /1 Michael Laudrup 8 /1 Phil Scolari 12 /1 Sven Goran Eriksson 14 /1 Marcello Lippi 16 /1 Jose Mourinho 25 /1 Mark Hughes 25 /1 Gianfranco Zola 33 /1 you dont know what i would give for steve mcclaren to be their next boss
  16. So that would be Allardyce then, id love it if they got allardyce! hed be begging to come back to SJP the amount theyd boo him when he loses away to wigan for them. not sure i agree, i reckon they might have fired him anyway. but wouldve been slaughtered by the press and the morons unlike us who think its grants fault that terry missed his pen. i mean for christs sake, got to the CL final (which mourinho couldnt do), level of points on the last day of the PL, carling cup final, and hes only lost 5 games!! then they fire him???!
  17. i hope its someone shite so as they never win anything again ever
  18. well if sam allardyce gets his way, that will be the winning goal

    Arda Turan?

While this is true, it completely ignores the fact that we probably offered more money to get them here in the first place, which doesn't seem to be on the agenda anymore. I think, amidst all the unmitigated s**** in here, that's a key issue that people are on about. I think apart from the money, at the time you beat us to Emre & Parker sure we'd finished 4th but it was a real bolt from the blue. Nobody had anticipated it and Newcastle would be seen as a safer bet for a player. It's fair to say that the tables have turned on that score now. Anyway, still unsure about all this Turan bid business. Turkish media is hardly a brilliant source and none of our papers have picked it up yet. the thing is, it was a complete suprise when we signed enrique. it was just on the website and we were like wow ok!
  20. i hope they dont keep going on about that all the way through though! on motd on the last day of the premiership it was "and reading will be gutted because of all the money they are losing" etc. and even shearer and hansen said something like "and the thought of all that money" when referring to this game- they didnt stop going on!!
  21. what more than west brom who have premiership quality? and id even say bristol with their manager as well.
  22. apparently anelka has his own brand of vodka...... he bottles it in russia!
  23. cheers. as i say, im not trying to open up a can of worms here or anything like that. i really believe there isnt a local team at all for me in the football league, id probably support fulham if if didnt like newcastle but thats a good 2 hrs 30 away! my point is, the neaest team is millwall. my mate goes there but hes hardly your stereotype south london type, i still respect him though. tell you what pisses me off the most though: down here, no local team so absolutely everyone apart from a select few supports 1 of the big 4 and takes great pleasure in ripping out of anyone they regard as shite (so anyone except the top 6). well you shouldve seen his face when we were crucifying him when chelsea lost yesterday! an absolute picture! talking of which have a look at this hilarious SSN interview with a chelsea fan http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fEyFKbG13z0 count the yeahs!!!
  24. Personally I'd prefer it to be a thread for attacking anyone who doesn't support a club where they don't have some sort of affiliation to the area where the club is based. I was born and brought up here, but I can understand people supporting any club if it's where their parents are from or if they lived there for a few years or some other equally good reason. But not otherwise. I understand financially why glory-hunters are good for clubs (Even our club, we have some still from the original Keegan days or the Robson days) and are a necessary evil, but I can't take them or their opinions even remotely seriously. well im not from the area, and i support newcastle, why should my opion be any differently viewed? there are no clubs anywhere near me (south london clubs 2 hours away) and so theres no obvious "local team". i come from a place where everyone supports chelsea or man united. one of my mates is a millwall season tickt holder, and i respect his views on football, but hes not from the area of millwall. i think the main thing is the sentiments rather than the team, i chose to support newcastle because i really liked the team, and the feel of the fans and the team. and i started supporting us in the latter days of souness. since then ive never looked back, been to all the games i phaesibly could- watched the rest online. i know what it feels like to be a newcastle supporter, admitedly, some of the bona fide geordies probably know better, but im there as well. i think the difference if i never knew what thes score was like my chelsea supporting mates, or never been to a match in my life like some, then theres no place for your opinion. like i say, one of my best mates is a sth at millwall, id have just as much respect for his opinion if he supported rochdale or ipswich for all i care.
