chelsea aer just the same as man united. i live down south, and there are so many chelsea fans around now. incidently you never see them wearing old chelsea shirts- always the new ones. the kind that think buying the shirt makes you a real fan. wankers and i was with a chelsea "fan" yesterday and we were ripping the piss! and what boils my blood even more is when they have the nerve to say "at least i support my local team". no you dont- chelsea is at least 2 hours from here and charlton, palace, millwall, fulham, brighton, west ham, gillingham are all geographically closer arsenal fan "we are the best team in south london". oh dear

Even with the Modric signing they still lack character, I still feel they are a fancy pants team and nothing more. They severely lack physical strength and explosiveness. Till they add a bit of this I think they will continue to struggle. I'm yet to be convinced. I don't think it's fair to say Spurs "continue to struggle". 2 top 5 finishes in the last 3 seasons, 3 consecutive years of European fotball and a trophy this year is not struggling. Bringing Modric Woodgate and Hutton in is building as well to be honest, spurs beat arsenal 5-1 and chelsea in the final, and then tailed off and di practically nothing for the rest of the season. that shows to me 2 things- 1) they have a pretty shit mentality if they think "well we cant finish in europe so well not bother 2)with the teams theyve beaten and the way they play, plus some new signings, they wil be very good next season. hopefuly well still thrash them home and away though!!!

bit harsh considering its actually related to the thread

everton were robbed of 3 points at goodison by the ref (but everyone gets bad decisions) and i reckon have the quality if they strengthen their squad a bit, although it does seem spurs are more likely. although, their defence is an absolute joke and it remains to be seen what they do about that

seems the big four are becoming stronger and stronger, and its harder to catch them. does anyone think itll be cracked next season? and if so who by? i reckon if anyones going to do it itll be everton 4th and liverpool 5th. however, spurs are getting better as well and lost out on the last day a couple of seasons ago. could be quite entertaining because liverpool and chelsea are evidently suffering backroom fiascos, with (if you believe the tabloids) avram grant under pressure and drogba wanting to leave, and the greedy yanks and rafa situation at anfield. i next season reckon itll be man united, arsenal, chelsea, liverpool, everton, spurs, villa, newcastle.
-
Aye, I can feel it. Except we'll get Chelsea, not Cardiff. You know we'd get a run like arsenal, man u, liverpool, chelsea and even if we came through that lot we'd end up drawing barcelona somehow in some new rule made up of not allowing us to ever win anything. we have been unlucky, but it doesnt help that when we do get drawn against lower league teams we get thrashed- eg birmingham and we were almost beaten at stoke.

yeah i agree. play up pompey is f***ing annoying!! i dont like pompey completely irrationally, and i think that may be it! that and that annoying bell ringer at fratton park which you always hear on motd

I apologise sincerely for my grammatical errors, i hope time will heal these emotional wounds. i seriously cannot actually work out why anyone would nominate steven taylor as player of the season!!
-
Also noticed that in the Everton-Newcastle Skysports player ratings (which are almost, always wrong) Taylor had a rating of 6 despite being at fault for all our goals. If it had been Cacapa his rating would have been 2-3. agreed. and they normally rate beye harshly saying he was "given a tough time".
-
shay given, steve harper, habib beye, steven taylor, nicky butt, james milner, michael owen, oba martins. how the hell given and taylor can be in there i just dont know.

smith worth £6? not a chance. thats even more than i paid for a ticket to fulham v blackburn!!

I was only joking like. I'd be horrified if we went for him after the debacle with Owen though tbh. confusing a lot of people today aren't you dave Saha would be a good signing, he's no Alan Smith. He's a genuinely dangerous striker and a very good footballer And has managed 90 minutes in the league only 3 times this season. It doesn't matter how good some players are, if they are very rarely fit then their ability is irrelevant when it comes to thinking about signing them IMO. thats more than i might have expected tbh. if youve got ronaldo, rooney, tevez, anderson etc. why would you want to play saha? plus if they were to play 4 midfieidlers, they might play ronaldo plus tevez/rooney up front. hes made appearances (mainly from the bench) in 17 premiership games, scoring 5 goals (3 against the mackems and 1 against us!!)

2-1 bristol ity!
-
who do we want to come up out of palace, bristol, hull and watford? palace for me. a mate supports them and they play some good stuff

...is in!! 1-1

bbc sport: "Uefa Fair Play League: In order to be eligible for one of the three places available via the Fair Play League, an association must score an average of over eight. The top association gets a Uefa Cup place, while all other associations with an average of over eight (there are currently eight) are placed into a ballot. England are guaranteed an extra place after topping the Fair Play League, and it will be given to the team placed highest in the Premier League Fair Play League that has not qualified by other means. At the moment, Manchester City are in the driving seat." looking at the fair play table, we are 14th with a points score of 8.01 so depending on how we go at everton, we would go into a ballot.
