  1. well actually keegan does seem to put him on in the 80th minute in most games!
  2. glory hunters the lot of em. so glad my chelsea "supporting" mate was up there today and had spent £50 for the privelige of watching his team throw away the title
  3. well chelsea just lost, so that pretty much wins man u the title. happy? sad? personally, i think its great that these boring cheating wankers have lost it. hpefully theyll lose the champions league as well
  4. i find it quite confusing how most people on here absolutely despise spurs but dont mind chelsea. i like spurs, at least youre pretty much guaranteed entertainment as a neutral, whereas chelsea its continuos 1-0s with a handball scored from an offside position from an incorrectly given freekick. that, and on MOTD they spend about 20 minutes on highlights of that game. and then 2 minutes on spurs and newcastle
  5. agreed. one of my best mates is a chelsea fan and he says he thinks grant is shite, whereas hasnt his record actually been better than joses? his pov though, was that they got shot of jose because they wanted entertaining football, not 1-0s. grant has pretty much been providing 1-0's. the other reason is he apparently "bottles it" in the big games. well theres the carling cup final, but other than that they are into the last 8 of the CL and still in with a shot at the title. i think hes done well. still hate the wankers though, fans glory hunters who know nowt. all of my chelsea supporting mates are posh, horrible players.
  6. palace next if im not mistaken? i went to palace v scunthorpe today (dont ask what possessed me to do that) and they won 2-0 as well as beating stoke. looking like they might cause problems. personally, im hoping for either watford or palace to come up
  7. bump. so, fulham and bolton won today, and in the championship, watford, west brom, bristol, wolves, charlton, hull all drew, while crystal palace and stoke won. any thoughts?
  8. They have Portsmouth, Man City and Liverpool still left, highly doubt they'll stay up, which is a shame. well, west ham did it last season. even so, still very unlikely, but i just hope bolton go down.
  9. united were pretty crap at the start of the season, and brilliant since then. any coincidence then that ronaldo was sent off at pompey and banned for 3 matches at the start? other than the start, theyve barely put a foot wrong.
  10. but, surely ronaldos contribution this season (27 PL goals, and the rest) cant be replaced by anyone. not to mention shirt sales etc. im not sure £100m would be worth it. £100million for 27 pl goals a season, and the rest for at least 10 years.
  11. id like to see them doing something, but to be honest things like diving, whinging at rfs and favouritism of the big 4 are bigger priorities
  12. "The tables are compiled from marks awarded by The Premier League Match Delegates. " also its on the home page not the forum, so id expect it to make a little sense. not that you can really work out who the nicest fans are by awarding points. still looks like what most would expect.
  13. just seen this on the fulham website: "The ratings are based on the following criteria; verbal support in acceptable form and covert recognition of outstanding play by opponents. Points are deducted for persistent foul abusive language, persistent abuse of Officials' decisions and aggressive threatening conduct towards opposing fans." another reson to hate chelsea, as if there werent enough. 1 Fulham 32 266 8.31 2 Portsmouth 32 265 8.28 3 Newcastle United 32 264 8.25 4 Wigan Athletic 32 263 8.22 5 Arsenal 32 262 8.19 6 Manchester United 32 261 8.16 7 Manchester City 32 259 8.09 8 Blackburn Rovers 32 258 8.06 9 Derby County 32 257 8.03 10 Tottenham Hotspur 32 257 8.03 11 Sunderland 32 256 8.00 12 Everton 32 254 7.94 13 Liverpool 32 253 7.91 14 Birmingham City 32 253 7.91 15 West Ham United 32 253 7.91 16 Middlesbrough 32 252 7.88 17 Reading 32 247 7.72 18 Bolton Wanderers 32 244 7.63 19 Aston Villa 32 239 7.47 20 Chelsea 32 238 7.44
  14. they just 1-0 again. christ how they need defoe. is he injured?
  15. i voted chelsea because of the horrible football, general luckiness, their horrible players, plastic fans, (who are unbearable down here by the way, im sure if you lot lived down here you would choose them!!) and ridiculous ticket prices. nothing at all to like about them. i actually do quite like spurs, they play enteratining football, arsenal piss me off because of lack of english players.
  16. after a lot of comments about liverpool, i thought it might be interesting to have a poll to see who people hate the most. im guessing it will be a foregone conclusiion that sunderland are first. im thinking it might also be interesting to reset the poll in a couple of days and see how hatred of liverpool changes!!
  17. no, dont see a problem myself. just a general "rumours thread" would probably do
  18. against chelsea assuming they get knocked out the champions league: cheer up john terr-ee, how hard can it be, to be a cheating cockney with no champions league troph-ee
  19. fair enough, but you see my point. man u are playing the best football and winning convincingly. chelsea, generally not so much. i dont know about you but when you take the whole package, i prefer man u to chelsea. i was far more pissed off walking out of stamford bridge knowing weve been narrowly beaten than i was watching us lose 6-0. maybe thats just me.
  20. if we remember, when keegan made owen captain, everyone was having a go because of his irrational love of owen. now how many goals has he scored us under keegan? we have a manager who i actually believe now, other than the previous guff.
  21. they humiliated us twice, but that proves that they are the team that deserve to win the title rather than chelsea who beat us thanks to a very dubious last minute goal
  22. Nobody should pay less because of their religion. It was a one-off offer to encourage a sector of the population who would normally not think of going to a football match (despite living next door to a PL stadium) to go to one. If you were non muslim and lived in that area, you too would have had the offer. It just happens that almost everyone is Muslim there. Just to reiterate what Spurs From Africa said, it isn't a permanent arrangement, it was a one off offer. In the same way a lot of clubs sell tickets cheaply to schools. It won't mean a "Muslim section" of the ground (that'd be worse than actually not having them at the ground in the first place, in many ways). If the idea is to make it easier for people to make that first step to becoming an attender, then good for them. Remember what it was like for you the first time you went to a match as a 6 or 7 year old? There'll be Muslim kids just like that right now. If a few of them have had an introduction into the game like we had way back when, that left them wide eyed and wanting more, then good for them. Why should they be excluded from the near endless cycle of misery and disappointment that we get? We did similar things to encourage families back to matches (why do you think you can't sit in your seat at SJP with a pint?) several years ago. whats aston like as an area, i was thinking of going there for uni. i always thought aston villa wsa the posh side of birminghma?
  23. isnt that saying you hate man u more than u love newcastle? i absolutely hate chelsea with a passion but if it were the other way round i would want us to beat man u.
