The Battle For More Points than 2010/11 - SUCCESS!

Taking aside the obvious feel good factor that has been taken from the club by selling Cabaye and not replacing him, there is still a chance to finish higher than 8th. For instance, we play Man United, Tottenham and Everton all at home now and if we pick up in form these three fixtures could be key. Win all of these ( ) irrespective of other fixtures and the picture looks a lot different. -
Hope they dont win because I dont want to have to listen to fans signing "We're all going on a Yewrupean Tewer"

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United - 21/12/13 @ 15:00 (NO UK TV)

Theyve only conceded 3 or more goals twice this season, and that was before they appointed Pulis. Think that most likely neither team will score more than 1 goal. -

Get those clapper boards that clubs like Fulham give to their fans to make a noise. Get JD sports to pay for them in return for their logo to dominate the clapper board. Hand the clapper boards out on arrival to SJP on a televised match and then all of a sudden, one of SD's competitors has its logo displayed at SJP to the world for free.

Gillingham finish mid-table in League 1

I hate whoever took me to my first Newcastle game, therefore inflicting years of misery upon me. I'm not even from the Northeast!

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew: "It is a big relief because this is a massive club. We got the win we needed. The injuries we have suffered this year have been horrendous. This type of year usually ends up in relegation. "It was a nervous display from us, we really needed that first goal. We have made mistakes but we will make sure that we protect ourselves. The Premier League is so unforgiving."

Can still mathematically finish 10th

When we went down last time, I probably didnt appreciate the potential severity fully and took solace from the fact that we could have a "fresh start" which we did and it worked. However, this time around it would be absolutely disastrous. We have one of our best squads in years (OK not as good as we might think given this season) and a financial infrastructure allowing us to go forward- in the premier league. Go down and we lose all our internationals, and I dont think we'll be as attractive to new players second time round. Questionable how up for it the fans will be as well.

Could genuinely see us drawing at QPR and Norwich drawing v WBA Then on the last day, us losing 1-0 at home to Arsenal and Norwich losing 2-0 to Man City, meaning we stay up on goals scored
-
Norwich WBA (H) Man City (A) Wigan Swansea (H) Arsenal (A) Villa (H) Sunderland Stoke (H) Southampton (H) Spurs (A) Newcastle QPR (A) Arsenal (H) Aston Villa Chelsea (H) Wigan (A) QPR game is a must win- puts us on 41 points and you'd hope that would be enough. Also need Chelsea to turn Villa over so they still arent mathematically safe on the last day Otherwise
